What's Black and White and Green All Over?

Well, maybe not ALL over, but you get the picture!  It is this week's Color Dare, that's what!

This challenge is to make a black, white, and green creation, AND you get to choose your shade of green!  You still have until noon tomorrow to link up your creation, so don't just sit there!  I whipped up this little gift card holder using the Close to My Heart Artiste Collection a while back and am sharing it with you just for this occasion.

I chose Close to My Heart's Topiary Green which is my go-to Christmas green.  I love that all the Cardstock has a white core for sanding and tearing.  I used an embossing folder to dry emboss this portion onto the front panel and sanded the letters down to pop off the green.  :)

The inside of this card reveals a place to insert a gift card, and I used the Perfect Fit Frames My Acrylix and a sentiment from Holiday Tags to embellish it a bit.  The Cricut Art Philosophy Collection provided the matching die cut shape for the simple wreath frame.

These black and white panels inside are created by wrapping the same For Always Textile Fabric that I used as the closure around some CS.  Here is quick pic tutorial:

Cut the fabric with at least a 1/4 inch on each side of the CS.

Use strong adhesive to fold two sides over.  I used my ATG.

Trim a bit in from the corner to eliminate bulk.

Fold the last two sides over as snugly as possible.

There you go!  I love the way this looks matted with the black CS.

Here is a view from the back of the card...

I can't wait to try this in other combinations of patterns for other occasions!  :)

CAS-ual Fridays is having an embossing challenge this week, so I will be linking this one up with its beautiful dry embossed card front!

Thanks for popping in today, I appreciate you coming to see my latest ideas and creations!

I am still looking for five fabulous people to join my new Reward Club!  Read all the details HERE and let me know if you would like to join us!  :)
