Tag (You're It!) Tuesday

So I saved a little bitty piece of my project from yesterday to show you today...the TAG, of course!

I love to make white CS pop off a Kraft background when making tags.  This lovely wreath image found on the Merry, Merry My Acrylix stamp set is just perfect for achieving that effect.  The gold embossed pine cones are just icing on the cake!

Need a homemade gift idea this Christmas?  How about a collection of handmade gift tags?  I used a simple 3 x 4 Picture My Life pocket card as a sort of  "intro" to what's inside.

Just one piece of advise...

If you should happen to use this type of gift for a family gift exchange (the sort with stealing and opening of gifts) you may find yourself rescuing it later from a not-so-knowledgeable single-male recipient.  LOL!!!  ;)

December brings a close to the items available in the Holiday Expressions Idea Book, so get these Christmas themed products while you can!

Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

It really is a shame that the weather isn't very winter-like lately in the Midwest.  HA!  I am not at all missing the typical winter around here--give me El Nino any time!  ;)

Anyway, I wanted to make an ornament to give the hostess of our family party this past weekend, so I used the Cricut Close to My Heart Artistry cartridge to make a snowman without the cold.

Can you believe how little those detailed snowflakes are cut???

I have seen several versions of this type of ornament...and I am a HUGE fan of Olaf and the song, so I just couldn't wait to make my own version.  I ended up using some leftover white circles instead of trying to fit the snowman body into the glass ornament, but I started with the cute little guy below.

I love to have extra tags laying around so I always cut extras when using my Cricut Explore.  I grabbed one to write this adorable phrase and added a peppermint candy image from the Merry, Merry My Acrylix stamped in Cranberry Ink.

See that tiny little black hat?  I used some Green Glitter Paper to liven up some plain black CS.  This particular color combo is still only available while supplies last, so don't wait!
I have been wanting to use these Cupcake Boxes forever, and this was the perfect time!

Are YOU making any handmade gifts this year?  Tell me what you are making!  :)

White Pines Blog Hop Featuring the 12 Days of Christmas!

Welcome back for another blog hop!

My 12 Days of Christmas theme really evolved over the course of laying out just this one page, so let me show you how that happened...I started with my favorite theme--GOLD (5 golden rings) and the White Pines Picture My Life cards!  ;)

These gold Picture My Life Pocket Scrapbooking overlays have taken over my scrapbooking lately...they are so much fun!

Do you have just a few pics from an event that you still want to capture?  DO IT!  These pocket cards make it very doable...even if the pics aren't the BEST quality like mine...I didn't want to lose the memory though.

My partridge in a pear tree is a cute little bird found in the White Pines Complements...
...and the pear is found on the Harvest Wreath My Acrylix stamp set. I had so few pics of my girl for this layout that I had to take up space--and this just happened to fit quite well!  I used some patterned paper from the coordinating White Pines Paper Packet for the card too...

The barren winter tree and the little tag below are cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.
Oh my goodness, this was quite the development...I never dreamed I would be turning NOEL into NO teeth!  ;)

One simple way to add more pics to your layouts is to use Flip Flaps.  I adore these versatile page elements that attach with a strong adhesive directly to your page protector.  They are JUST as thick and sturdy as our CTMH page protectors too!  They come in all sorts of sizes--I used the 3 x 4 inch pocket to add this fun and interactive detail to my layout.  :)

If you are a pocket scrapper, you HAVE to get this awesome Dated My Acrylix Set!

These fantastic journaling cards can be used all on their own or blinged up with almost no extra time...

Another strange but fun Christmas song!  ;)

Next up on this short but sweet Christmas hop is my friend, Kelly!  Keep hopping from one blog to the next by clicking the links, or just refer to this list!

My CTMH Cricut Display Board: Art Philosophy

It is time to wrap up my series on the Close to My Heart Cricut Cartridges...and I saved the first for last.  The Art Philosophy Collection was the very first cartridge that Close to My Heart and ProvoCraft teamed up on, and it is like an old friend--always there when you need them!  I just love the creations I have included in this section of my display board...

Here it is once more...the bunny bag and doorknob hanger are both on Art Philosophy.

The font is a pretty type-style with a coordinating detail layer...

Need poinsettias?  Get AP!  :)

The leaves on these are from Artiste...
The flowers are actually stamped with a looooong-time favorite stamp set of mine--a hidden gem on my website--called....Snowflakes!  ;)

Now is actually a fantastic time to remind you that all of our cricut shape coordinating stamps are still available and won't retire!  Just click HERE to browse the ones you might not be familiar with since they haven't been in an Idea Book lately.

Did you notice these great monogram letters?  They make a fantastic gift along with custom cards!  :)

Tag (You're It!) Tuesday Christmas Edition!

I LOVE Christmas tags!  I try to make excuses to make them all the time...and with a crafty blog, I have LOTS of excuses!  ;)

This first tag was just begging for two of my favorite Christmas colors--SILVER and GOLD!  I grabbed my Foil Tape and got busy....

These next two tags were so simple--I just grabbed some Cricut cuts laying around on my work-space and used what I found!

Those trees are so cute!  They are found on a Close to My Heart Hostess only My Acrylix stamp set called, Falalalala (OK, that is really hard to type out with the right number of lalalala's!)  Here is another example using the images...

I will have some more tags to show you next week, so tune in on Tuesday to see them!  :)

Before I let you go--check out what came to my house yesterday!

This is THE NEW Everyday Life Planner!!!  The bundle that included the binder, pages, and roller stamp is ON SALE NOW for 15% off--JUST $29.95 for all three!!!!  Check out these adorable details...
