Going Green Blog Hop!

I just LOVE the month of May!  With everything in my neck of the woods coming back to life and turning green again, I couldn't resist a blog hop dedicated to just that...

And I decided to choose my new favorite shade of green to star in my show--Sea Glass, the first ever Close to My Heart Color of the Year.

I just so happened to have the perfect gift bag to use (oh yes, I reuse them!)  So I knew right away how to wrap this gift for one of my favorite little people.

I created an easy-peasy gift tag out of the rainbow and cloud dies from the Little Dreamer Scrapbooking and the Cardmaking stamp and dies sets...along with some White and Gold Ribbon.

The matching card features a little different color scheme, adding more Emerald Green accents and some great Sea Glass Glitter Paper.

I used a scalloped frame die from Mama Elephant, a pocket card from the Little Dreamer Paper Packet, and some Sea Glass CS as well.  Some Princess Gold Embossing powder from Ranger added just the right amount of glam.

I hope you enjoy all the greenery on our hop...you are now off to see Lalia's creation!

Here is the entire line up for our hop this month...

Live Beautifully Layout 5!

Oh. My. Word.

This is my 1000th blog post!!!  Are you kidding me?!?  It seems like yesterday that I got hooked on Cricut and started down a path of adhesives and papers and bling!  Wow, I cannot believe it...thanks so much for sticking around with me!  :)

What a most wonderful layout to share for this special post.  I love how things just come together like this moment.  I could not have planned it better.  This layout is what my scrapbooking is all about.  Beautiful memories.  Keeping them alive with the art of scrapping...

This was our very last beach trip with Grandma.  I will treasure this selfie always, and these pages capture the feeling so well!

The warmth from the gold foil is just the perfect touch again...

Just 7 more days to get your hands on these easy peasy Live Beautifully pages for your own scrapbooks!  They go together in no time at all.  You can even pick up a paper packet to match them for the rest of your pics, too--I have lots more pages to go with those!  ;)

Thanks so much for reading my blog!

Live Beautifully Layout 4!

Ready for the next one?  I am!

This one JUST might be my favorite layout from Live Beautifully...

You can see I didn't quite add my journaling on this page.  Well, it was the last page I put together because I had a hard time deciding on pics...and then by the end I was a blubbery mess!  It was safer to walk away before my hard work drowned in tears, lol.

Who am I kidding, this was NOT hard work, lol!!!  These layouts are all designed and ready for you to literally throw together!  The gold foil details on these elements are just fantastic!  They were the perfect accent to my pics!  (I promise I am not screaming...I'm just so darn excited about getting these pics into an album!)  ;)

Just 8 more days to pick up your kit!

Live Beautifully Layout 3

Ok, back to some more layouts!

Here is one of my favorite layouts from the Close to My Heart Live Beautifully Cut Above Kit for National Scrapbook Month!

I added some pics from my girl's first year at college...

It was easy to add a couple of words to the title like this...

I just swoon a little every time I catch a glimpse of that wood grain paper, lol!  Who would have thought wood grain butterflies would be sooooo beautiful!?  Just about 9 days left to pick up your kit that even includes page protectors, AND averages out to just about $5 a page!  This is literally easy button heaven!  :)

Teacher's Appreciation Week

We celebrated our teachers at school a couple of weeks ago, so I wanted to share this little card I whipped up with one of the new Close to My Heart stamp and die sets...the Jack Cardmaking set.

I have to admit, this bear has completely stolen my heart! He is such a versatile guy to have around the craft room...and can hold a variety of items in his arms, including this apple from the School Kids Stamp and Die set.  He looks fab in front of these trees found in the Jack Paper Packet.

These No Worries Sequins add a nice woodsy touch!

I colored my bear and apple pretty easily using the Carmine, Vivid Green, Barely Beige, and Mahogany ShinHan Markers

Don't forget to remember your kiddos' teachers as this school year comes to an end!  Just a few words of thanks is a tremendous way to let them know how much you appreciate them!

Only in May!

Mojo Monday 495 with Courage

Welcome to my little corner of the blogosphere!

I wanted to share my creation for the Mojo Monday contest this month because I used a very special stamp and die set--and I'm hoping to get the word out there to my fellow crafters to come join in on a wonderful fundraiser.  You can purchase the Ellen Hutson Courage Stamp and Die set to make a $25 donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

I happen to work with two amazing women who conquered breast cancer, so I wanted to join in the fight and make these cards for them.

I flipped the versatile sketch from Mojo Monday 495 on its side to better suit my sentiment...

I used my R20 Blush Copic marker to color in the ribbon for the inside of the card...

Thanks so much for stopping in to see my card today--now take a moment and check out this ongoing fundraiser if you like...United We Conquer.

Here are the rest of my supplies...
