A Little More Wonderful

I was just going through my blog pics and realized I have quite a few projects that I haven't posted yet--and that supplies I used for them are running out quickly--so I better get posting!

These two layouts were super-easy and quick using some already coordinated papers and complements from Close to My Heart.  Pre-coordinated means easy-button scrapbooking at its BEST!

This first page uses the Complements from the Workshops Your Way Some Kind of Wonderful Scrapbooking Kit.

The next uses the Complements in the Workshops Your Way Dreamin' Big Scrapbooking Kit.  The title stickers included in this one are SPOT on for my family pics.

And did I mention they have GLITTER embellishments, too???

Mmmmmm...a zip strip with tiny hearts!  LOVE!

I pulled the two pages together easily using some neutral papers from the Rustic Home Fundamentals Paper Pack.

The two kits I used are disappearing quickly (and my favorite kit, Sugar Rush, is already sold out) so get a move on over to my website if you have it on your wish list!

Chicago Cubs Fan Celebrates 100!

Oh my goodness, this is such an incredible post to make.  It was absolutely my pleasure to be asked to make this card for a fellow Cubbies fan...and not just any fan--a fan for her 100 years of living life!!!

I used my Cricut Explore to create a Cubs cut file pretty easily by using a chunky font.  Then I realized how fun it would be to incorporate the Cubs logo style "C" into the birthday sentiment!  It worked brilliantly!  The Sapphire striped paper from the Close to My Heart Enchantment Fundamentals was a great paper to use for this design, as well as the Red Shimmer Trim and Blue Enamel Dots.

I used a retired sentiment stamp that coordinated nicely stamped in the front and inside in Sapphire Ink.  100 candles should get her any wish her heart desires, don't you think...and I bet she wished for another Cubs World Series Win!!!!!  :)

Blog Hops with Heart Photo Inspiration

Welcome back to another creative session with the ladies at Blog Hops with Heart!

For this hop, we decided to utilize a popular new crafters' tool for getting those creative juices flowing...the inspiration photo!  This photo from Funky Junk spoke to me in a rusty olde-time creak...

Isn't that a FABULOUS wreath!?  I'm putting that one on the back-burner for a later project, lol...but for now, check out my mason jar vase that it inspired me to decorate (along with a little help from all these spring blooms around here!)

I don't know about you,  but I sure love a quick and easy home decor project to brighten things up.
I used the Rustic Home Fundamentals Paper and Ribbons from Close to My Heart to give my jar that rustic feel I love from the inspiration photo.  That little chipboard element from the Springtime Complements says, "stop and smell the roses."  The perfect little addition to my vase!

I grabbed various sequins from CTMH and Studio Calico to add some bling to the rustic burlap ribbon and wood grain paper.

You are now off to Stephanie's Blog to see what she has up her creative sleeves!  :)

Here is a complete list of  hoppers on our rustic journey today...enjoy!!!

Amie (that's me!)

Easy Button Scrapbooking with Cut Above Layout Kits

Are you an "easy button" scrapbooker?  I mean, if you have to go dig something out, or match a paper or ribbon or sticker JUST right are you down for the count before you even get started with your layout?  It is SO easy to get bogged down in the amazing variety of supplies we manage to drag home from a great sale, isn't it?  Don't get me wrong, there isn't anything wrong with taking a few days weeks ok, fine, months on a single, satisfying layout that you painstakingly design with love.  BUT, sometimes a girl just needs her easy button, am I right?

That's where this amazing Close to My Heart Cut Above Layout Kit comes in!!!  I used the Little One kit this time to create an adorable--and quick--layout with some of my favorite pics.  Here is how the original design (which is fabulous, but I didn't need all the elements) looks...

and here's my version!

I was able to easily tweak the title to suit my pics...

Now all I need to add are a few Grey Enamel Gems, and my layout will be complete!  Have you seen my giveaway going on HERE???  You are going to want to click and see!

You are also going to want to pick up these two amazing layout kits that are now HALF OFF over on my CTMH website until they run out!  Check those out HERE!

More 15 Minute Memories! (Don't forget the giveaway!)

I did it again!  Another quick layout accomplished!  Blogging it is a WHOLE other story, lol.

Again, I used the Close to My Heart Cut Above Forever and Always Kit...but not for wedding pics...

I scrapped some more of my daughter's senior pics...and I am SO happy to have these in an album finally!  I really didn't think the title Forever and Always went with the pic, but then I noticed some familiar letters...and simply snipped the other gold foil letters to make my own "K!"

The Gold Glitter Gems are a great addition to these pages, don't you think?

Now, I have so many of these poses in all sorts of various colors...so the pocket pages that come with the kit were an absolute GEM!!!

I cannot believe the value in these kits at the current 50% savings!!!  Wait, what????  YEP!  The Cut Above layouts are HALF OFF until they run out of stock or until the month ends, whichever happens first!

Be sure to check out my last blogpost with the first page of my layout....there's a giveaway going on!!!  ;)  Here's a link!

15 Minute Memories! (Plus A Giveaway!!!)

Are you kidding me!?!  What in the world took me so long to try these layouts?

OK, yes, time.  Time is what kept me from using the new Close to My Heart Cut Above Layout Kits.  What I guess I didn't realize is that TIME is exactly what you GET from these ingenious little scrapbooker's dreams come true!!!

Here is what the Cut Above Layout Kit--Forever and Always looks like made as directed....

...plus the pocket pages that you can make too!  Everything is included in the kit including the protectors!!!
It really has some gorgeous elements that I adore, but I already scrapped our wedding photos.  What's a scrapper to do???  Well, the layout happened to go lovely with...

...my daughter's senior pics!

I am definitely a rule-follower, EXCEPT when it comes to kits, lol!!!  I kind of forge my own way and get the most out of everything that I can.  So, instead of using the white doily punch outs on the page, I used them as stencils!!  I sponged Whisper Ink over it for a most beautiful effect.

Sooooo I was finished with the layout...until I added some not-included bits of bling...

These bits and baubles are from the  Gold Glitter Gems, Pink Enamel Gems, and Grey Enamel Gems.

On a total side note--how do YOU spell "grey/gray" when you type it???  This almost haunts me each time I need to spell it out because which is right???  Please help me out and leave a comment with your thoughts on this!  I LOVE grey/gray, and want to know what you think.  I am going to pick one commenter at the end of April and send them a package of Grey Enamel Dots!  :)

Are you ready for the BONUS news???  These ridiculously time-saving kits are HALF-OFF for the rest of the month of April or until they are sold out!!!!  There are two kits on sale to choose from, and they are each just $7.48 and create 6 COMPLETE pages for your scrapbooks.  The only things you need are some adhesive and your photos!  Scoop yours up today from my website using the links in my post, and I will send you the bling you need to add to yours like I did here!!!

Half-off, are you KIDDING me!?!?!?

CTMH April Stamp of the Month, Flock Together

April is WELL underway, so it is time for me to introduce you to this dandy fellow...

the Close to My Heart April Stamp of the Month, Flock Together!!!  I created an adorable little card for one of my customers using it with the Hello Lovely Paper Packet...

I stamped these lovely quail in Chocolate Ink and then colored them gently in with my ShinHan Touch Twin Alcohol Ink Markers (that's totally a mouthful, eh?)

One of the many reasons I LOVE the CTMH papers (besides the fact that they are already color coordinated for me) is that they come with two sheets of PML cards that are perfect for pocket scrapping!  I used one of these cards to get a cute little pattern on my die cut heart...

I used the die cut heart on the card I made, but can still use the PML card in a pocket...and it has a cute little window now!  :)
Only in April!

Wait, WHAT!?!?!?!
