Creative Big Blog Tour Nomination!

I am just beaming my way into September today since I have been nominated by not one, but TWO fellow blog buddies as a Creative Blogger:  Katy Donaldson Taylor and Cathy Derouche!  Just click on their links to see their nomination posts.  :)  I hope you take the time to hop back in time to see just who's who in the crafty blogger world I love!

Now, on with the hop!  I get to do the fun stuff!  Here are my questions and answers before I can move on with the NOMNATIONS!!! 

1. What am I working on?

Oh, baby, did you just open a can of worms!  I always have a project or two in the works, so here is a sneaky peek at the one on my desk right now...

This is for an upcoming blog hop on September 6th, so be sure to sign up for email updates so you can see the entire project!  :)  I will also be making LOTS of upcoming crafts for a show, as well as many missing you cards for my big girlie off at college!  (Now, where did those tissues go?)

2.  How does my work differ from others in its genre?

I think I just laughed out loud just thinking of how to pronounce that word!  My hubs says it in a way that ends in the sound "ayyy" and oh my goodness is it a hoot!  Bless his heart.  Anyway, I am a perfectionist in almost every possible way.  I am trying to overcome, believe me I am, but it isn't easy for a girl to change her ways!  Let's just say that you won't find me participating in the 10 minute craft dash, because 43 minutes later I actually have my stamp mounted and ready to ink up!  Actually, I am also one of the laziest crafters I know.  New techniques are nothing to me if I can't grab it and use it, so you will see me sticking with my tried and true ways.  I've owned it, so no worries.  ;)

3.  Why do I create what I do?

Well, I sure do hope you noticed that I happen to be a Close to My Heart Independent Consultant by now from all the blog "stuff" on the right side.  If not, I might need to rethink my approach, lol.  THAT is undoubtedly a big part of my WHY.  But, I also happen to love giving away most of what I make--especially the cards.  Would you believe that I used to be exclusively a scrapbooker?  Yep!  Now I make more cards than anything else.  I LOVE to send them off to brighten someone's day...spreading my special brand of glitter around the world one sparkle at a time!

4.  How does my creative process work?

I am not sure there is a good answer for this one...my creativity looks different from day to day.  I don't have any special formula that I use.  Sometimes I have an idea in my head before I step foot in my  craft cave, sometimes I stare at the walls.  Sometimes I read blogs or look at Pinterest, but I also use my CTMH pattern books.  My FAVORITE way to get creative is for blog challenges.  I cannot get enough of them!  I like that they are actually limiting so it eliminates a lot of possibilities and leaves me better focused on my project.  :)
