Hey everyone! Thanks for joining me on another Washi Wednesday adventure! :)
I got a few more pages finished in my Close to My Heart Crush Book dedicated to the my horde of concert ticket stubs--mostly from the good old days of college. Now that I have reached the point where I have some pics to go along with them, the process is even more fun!
Below is my first encounter with Matthew Sweet circa 1993. No concert--just a public appearance and my FIRST AUTOGRAPH!!!!
The little embellishments that come in the Crush Assortments have an endless amount of possibilities to use on your pages. This little camera and the "Life is Sweet" phrase could NOT have fit better!
How cute it this little crossword paper?! Super-versatile!
This one cracks me up. I still can't believe we went! YOLO was absolutely the right way to caption the experience. These alpha/numeric stickers come in the Besties Assortment.
Another one of Close to My Heart's products that coordinates nicely with this style of scrapbooking is the washi tape. I used the Slate Polka-Dot Washi here...
Below, I added the Lagoon Houndstooth Washi to accent the color scheme of the Assortment pieces. There are several color schemes to choose from in each pack.
It was perfect for closing this little envelope!
I hope you are enjoying taking a peek at my Crush album so far, and I will share more with you as I get it completed! Thanks for stopping in! :)
Never let ANYONE dull your sparkle! Self admitted Cricut fanatic and Shimmer Trim addict. ;)

Green Day Crush
I scrapped another ticket stub! Yeah!
This Green Day concert was sooooooo much fun to reminisce. It was my first time at the Aragon Ballroom in downtown Chicago. The venue is very cozy, and we were in line super-early to get the best view possible. Little did we know we would end up right down in front of the stage. AWESOME view--and got up close and personal with the front railing as the crowd got into it! Ouch.
How fun are these little Green Epoxy Bubbles added to the elements from the Crush Assortment?
It was a Green Day concert--I had to use green on the page, no? Used some contraband green glitter tape since we don't have that color--yet! Here's hoping! :) I also used this little wooden trinket from the soon to be retired Huntington Assortment. Get it while you can before January ends!
The best thing I have discovered for my Crush Book scrapping are the Flip Flaps that Close to My Heart carries in all kinds of sizes. I used a couple from the Small Assortment for my pics on this page. I like that I can still get my pics in here protected from the little fingers that are bound to explore! :)

My Crush Book: Page 2
Are you ready to see some more of my new Close to My Heart Crush Book? Awesome!
This is really the "title page" of the book, but I really wanted to use it since I decorated the inside front cover too. I decided to make it a history of my concert days of sorts. My very first concert ever was the New Kids on the Block at the Rosemont outside of Chicago. I think I was in 8th grade. If there is one thing I have learned from being a mother, it is how much MY mom totally rocks. You do not understand your mother fully until you stand in her shoes. When I took my girls to see the Jonas Brothers a few years ago, I finally understood her sacrifice, lol. ;)
Now, we get to the ticket stubs! Woot! Here is the first...
I love all the embellishments in the kits that go with this Modville Crush Book. There are stickers and papers that go with the color scheme inside the album. You can easily add dates...
There are also some adorable little paper pockets in the Crush Assortments. I used a leftover tag cut to record some of the songs that the bands performed and tucked it into the pocket along with another coordinating paper.
Here is a bonus tip for you today! If you have a project like this to make, just google the band and date...you should be able to find a set list with no problem...along with a few reviews! ;)
I am absolutely loving documenting these concerts so far. Pretty soon, I will have pics to go with some of them! Stay tuned! :) You can check out the entire line of My Crush products on my website HERE.

Meet My New Crush
There is a new Crush in my life, I admit it. And he doesn't talk back, either! ;) Lol, did I have you going? I am talking about my new Crush Book from Close to My Heart, of course! They have been out for almost 6 months now, and I FINALLY had the chance to get started on it!
Guess what? I LOVE IT!!!
I lived my college years through music...concert-going specifically was what I spent my hard-earned cash on when I wasn't shopping at the Gap. Yep. Anyway, I have quite the collection of ticket stubs, and a few pics, so the perfect way for me to get them out of a drawer and into my life again was via the Crush Album! I can't wait to share it with you!!!
Here is the inside cover:
I wrote a nice little intro for my fam...they WILL realize that mom is way cooler than they ever dreamed! (I hope, lol!)
Check this out...I used some leftover CS after cutting out shapes on the cricut...and also some new Washi tape!
How perfect is that for this type of scrappin'? In fact, I used many leftover cuts from my scrap drawer because I save them all the time! This made putting this Crush book together even FASTER! There are two little paper and sticker embellishment kits that coordinate with each of our two Crush books--Modville (the one I used here) and Bluebird. These two kits are called the Besties Assortment and the Best Day Ever Assortment.
Some of my newer My Acrylix stamps from Close to My Heart made the perfect accents for these pages as well...these arrows are from the One Way Borders set. I love the scribbled look of outlining some of the page elements. I am a doodler. I totally am...
I am going to show you a lot more pages in the following weeks, so stay tuned! :) And get ready to rumble! ;)

What Day is It? My Crush Day! ;)
Hip, hip, hooray! It's HUMP Day! :)
I have just the thing to get us over the hump and on to the rest of the week!
My youngest daughter received one of the Close to My Heart Crush Books for Christmas this year. She was hugely excited to get a glue pen and get to work on her book. I HAD to share her first pages with you! She was ecstatic to let me show you as well. ;)
She changed this embellishment to say "My Favorite People I Know." Then she made a list of her family. I just love how she doesn't let her lack of spelling skills hold her back! Don't you wish we would be able to be so carefree with our scrapbooks? You know what I am talking about. ;)
"I think now I know everyone loves their mom a lot. Moms love you no matter what." Truer words were neverspoken stickered.
I was just about in tears at this point. Although she was out of the letter "o", that didn't stop her! How cool and trendsetting is that sentiment with the added drawn letters? :) See how she changed it to SEVEN things I love about you? Classic move for this homework fighter. Shorten the assignment! ;)
All the stickers and papers she added are found in the two little assortment packs that match the two Crush Books. Ry used the Besties Assortment for her pages so far.
I just love that she took to this type of journaling! It is a fantastic way for me to get her reading and writing without the WORK!
Guess I had better get started showing you MY Crush Book now! Tune in tomorrow for the start of that reveal! I will be sharing them as we finish the rest of our pages, so please stay tuned. If you are interested in trying any of the new My Crush products, just follow the links over to my website to check them out or order them! mimimyselfandi.ctmh.com. See you tomorrow!
