I have just the thing to get us over the hump and on to the rest of the week!
My youngest daughter received one of the Close to My Heart Crush Books for Christmas this year. She was hugely excited to get a glue pen and get to work on her book. I HAD to share her first pages with you! She was ecstatic to let me show you as well. ;)
She changed this embellishment to say "My Favorite People I Know." Then she made a list of her family. I just love how she doesn't let her lack of spelling skills hold her back! Don't you wish we would be able to be so carefree with our scrapbooks? You know what I am talking about. ;)
"I think now I know everyone loves their mom a lot. Moms love you no matter what." Truer words were never
I was just about in tears at this point. Although she was out of the letter "o", that didn't stop her! How cool and trendsetting is that sentiment with the added drawn letters? :) See how she changed it to SEVEN things I love about you? Classic move for this homework fighter. Shorten the assignment! ;)
All the stickers and papers she added are found in the two little assortment packs that match the two Crush Books. Ry used the Besties Assortment for her pages so far.
I just love that she took to this type of journaling! It is a fantastic way for me to get her reading and writing without the WORK!
Guess I had better get started showing you MY Crush Book now! Tune in tomorrow for the start of that reveal! I will be sharing them as we finish the rest of our pages, so please stay tuned. If you are interested in trying any of the new My Crush products, just follow the links over to my website to check them out or order them! mimimyselfandi.ctmh.com. See you tomorrow!
Love it! Having been a Latin Scholar, hahahaha, I especially loved the 'no mater' part! That was perfect concerning moms! You're right, we need to see our own imperfections as creativity and that might open up more channels for all of us. Children often teach us if we simply pay attention!
ReplyDeleteDo they EVER! :) Thanks so much for the wonderful thoughts, Katrina! :)
DeleteThis is so darling! What a cute idea...and I love how she shortened her assignment ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jayma...she is just being true to herself, lol.
DeleteI love this idea! So cute...and I love that she shortened the assignment. Sounds like something I would have done ;)
ReplyDeleteOoops! Sorry I posted both! ;)
DeleteThis is fabulous! The only problem is, she will want to take this with her when she grows up and you aren't going to want to let it leave your house. Absolutely precious!!
ReplyDeleteI have ways of hiding things! They probably qualify more as ways of losing things, so maybe I better not! ;) Thanks, Becca!
