A Sweet Sale for Valentine's Day!

I just love making Valentines for people, and I sure love a sweet sale too!  Today I get to tell you about BOTH!

First off, I just got word that there will be a 30% off sale on select amazing and wonderful current products over on my Close to My Heart website starting on Valentine's Day!

The sale starts at 4pm CST on February 14th and runs for a full 24 hours or while supplies last, so hurry on over to get the best selection!

Next up, let me show you how I made these SWEET little valentines for my kiddos at school...

Can you believe I WROTE and CUT them out on my Cricut Explore machine using the heart image and written font on the CTMH Flower Market Cartridge?  YEP!  It is really pretty easy to design your own incredible projects in the Cricut Design Space software.  I have a little animal eraser in each of the goodie bags for the kids at school.  I also put some ADORABLE little Minion Dry Erase Board erasers in the rest of the bags I made up for my colleagues!  I can't wait to give them out!

What did YOU do for your valentines this year?

Are you ready for Easter?  ;)

Products We Love: A Valentine's Day Hop

Welcome back to another fabulous Blog Hops with Heart production!  Our short but sweet hop runs in a circle, so just keep on clicking the name at the end of the post to see all the beautiful artwork. I will post a list of our talented participants at the end in case you get lost.

This month we are featuring some of our favorite products with a Valentine's flair!

Now, most of my blog creations predictably feature my very favorite accessory, Shimmer Trim!  THIS time I wanted to feature my OTHER favorite CTMH product--cricut cartridges!!!  I chose to use the Artiste Cartridge (I could absolutely NEVER pick a favorite cartridge since I use them all so much), sized the image in Design Space, and put together this cute little purse full of love.

My choice of paper is Charlotte--a beautiful and delicately feminine NEW collection from Close to My Heart.  My new favorite, in fact, so I am linking up to the Heart 2 Heart Challenge this month.  I was even able to fashion a little tag with the Charlotte Complements and White and Gold Ribbon.

The little clasp on the purse is one of the Gold Treasured Puffies.
It came together so easily!  This purse was created just the right size to hold a little nailpolish bottle and some candies.  I love using my Cricut Explore with Design Space because I can tweak my design to be the right size for just about anything!

Now you are off to see Kelly's fabulous creation...enjoy, and thanks for coming along for the hop!!!

Amie (that's ME!)

Love Ya Silly Valentine's Day Card Workshop!

Just a week left to RSVP for my Valentine's Day Card Workshop!   Here are the cutie-pie cards I have planned.  It includes the 6x6 cutting guide and patterns I found HERE on the Viva la Verve Blog.

I used the Love Ya Silly My Acrylix from Close to My Heart, and the Xoxo size M stamp.

I will have some added fun embellishments to add as well as alternate sentiments for those who need other types of cards!  :)  Cost of this workshop is $10 for four cards with envelopes, and we will be meeting at 7pm on Saturday, February 7th in my Craft Cave.  Who wants in on this one?

So, You Think You Can't Craft: Valentine's Day Edition

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!  I've got a great little Valentine to share with you today.  I designed this one specifically for my Open House last month, because even if you haven't got a crafty bone in your body, you can make this card.

I used the Dotted Love size M stamp from Close to My Heart.  The size M stamps are not only a super value at only $2.95 each, but they are also the perfect size to stamp on a 2.25 inch square piece of cardstock.  A little bit of matting, and you have yourself a cute little card!

This stamp is especially easy to add just a bit more detail to by paper-piecing the little heart.  This is what I used...

No excuses, you guys!  You can do it, I KNOW you can!  :)

Valentine's Day Class Treats

Just a quickie for you today, so here we go!

I made treat bags for my kiddos' class parties tomorrow at school.  These are SUPER-easy, so if you are just a busy mom looking for a quick and cute solution to goodie bags, you can DO this!  You can even find punches to make the shapes if you do not have a cricut cutting machine.  I used some heart stickers and cardstock that I already had on hand, so that counts for using my stash!

I used the to/from square and the"you're sweet" round stamp which are both from the Whooo's Your Valentine Kit last month.  Add a couple of glue dots to stick the scallop and circle together, fold the paper cardstock over the top of the goodie bag, and staple!  Easy-peasy, like I said!  Seriously, a friend reminded me over the weekend that the kids are going to tear these things open anyway, so if you don't have time and energy to get fancy, DON'T!  ;)
