Welcome back for another Color Dare! This is a bittersweet post for me to write because it is my final creation as a member of the wonderful Color My Heart DT. I will miss being on the team, but will definitely still be checking in from time to time! :)
This week, we invite you to Sparkle and Shine! That's right! Use the colors Ruby and Juniper from the new Sparkle and Shine Paper Packet in a new creation to link up with us!
I decided to use mine to decorate a pillow box just in time for Christmas.
These My Creations Clear Pillow Boxes are so much fun to decorate! I can't believe I haven't played with them before now. I used my favorite pattern from the Sparkle and Shine Paper Packet--the ornaments. What better shape to use as the tag on this one than an ornament too? :) I covered part of the top and bottom with the new Silver and Juniper washi from the Sparkle and Shine Washi 3-Pack. Washi is a quick and easy addition to any project.
This sentiment is from a retired Christmas My Acrylix set called Christmas Joy. I tied the tag on the box with the twine found in the Mini-Medley Accents Ruby Collection. It has a great streak of silver in it!
Are you ready to Sparkle and Shine? Show us what you make by linking up over at the Color My Heart Color Dare! You could win a badge to display on your own blog! :)
Don't be a stranger, now! See you soon.
Never let ANYONE dull your sparkle! Self admitted Cricut fanatic and Shimmer Trim addict. ;)

Sparkle and Shine with Heart 2 Heart Challenges
Hi everyone! It is a bittersweet post today as I share my final creation with you for Heart 2 Heart Challenges. I am taking some time off from DT duties in order to devote some time to other things. It was a really hard decision to make, but I know it is the right one for me right now. I will be popping in often to check on all your amazing creations, and maybe even get to play along, though!
This week, we want you to get creative with the colors from the new Close to My Heart Sparkle and Shine Papers. Also, as an added "challenge" show us your SPARKLE!
I decided to decorate a My Creations Clear Pillow Box with my Sparkle and Shine Paper Packet, Sparkle and Shine Complements, and my trusty Silver Shimmer Trim! :)
I am completely in love with how easily this came together! I stamped the ivy leaves in Juniper Ink using the large leaf in the Close to My Heart A Holiday My Acrylix Stamp Set. The fabulous glittery red button I added is found in the Mini-Medley Accents Ruby Collection. I tied it on with the Grey Baker's Twine that is currently in the Retiring Section of my website, so won't be available much longer.
I just LOVE the complements that coordinate with these papers! There are even actual gift tags included for some super-easy embellishing. :)
I thank you all for the lovely comments you leave (really, I adore hearing from you guys) and for always popping in to see what I have to share with you on my blog. Join us over at Heart 2 Heart for this one last challenge of the year, and remember to never, ever let anyone dull your sparkle! :)
See you soon!

Peppermint Patty Snowmen, the Perfect Stocking Stuffer!
Hi everyone! Just getting back in the blog post swing today with a quick project for you! My hubs is doing well with his new hip, so I am trying to get some crafty time in again when I can.
I had these guys finished before he actually had surgery in preparation for a couple of upcoming vendor/craft fairs that I will be working in December. I found these adorable snowmen last year on Pinterest, and they were a big hit with the kids at school. They will make fantastic stocking stuffers too!
I cut the scalloped circles on my Cricut at 1.75 inches on different papers including this great candy cane striped B&T Duo from the new Sparkle and Shine Papers in the new Holidays From the Heart Gift Guide from Close to My Heart. Then I used a punch to make 1.25 inch circles out of my White Daisy CS. The snowman parts are stamped with a retired CTMH My Acrylix called All Decked Out, but they are pretty easy to dress up on your own too. A couple of big glue dots hold the peppermint candy to the paper. Slide your snowmen into pretzel bags and that is it! One little tip for building your snowmen....be sure to slide all three pieces in so they are touching before you slide them down to the bottom of the clear bag...otherwise your snowmen could end up with their parts upside down on the way in! Also, you have to get the kind of candies that are wrapped in a round wrapper, not the brand name kind in a sealed square wrapper. :)
Now I have an army of snowmen ready to go!
Hope you like this super-easy winter project!

Damask Divas Sparkle and Shine Blog Hop!
Welcome to my blog for the shiniest hop this year! ;) If you arrived from Jamie's Blog, then you are on the right path. If not, just check out the Damask Divas Blog for the entire line up! :)
I finally had a chance to play with my new paper, and love how it looks with this simple card design! I have had this one brewing in my mind for a while, using the tree as the letter 'A' in PEACE. I had no idea it would work so perfectly with the Tree Delights My Acrylix and the Framework Alphabet!
Now, you sure can't tell in the first picture, but take a look at this one close up!
The lettering is stamped in Juniper Ink, while the tree was stamped with Versamark and sprinkled with Close to My Heart's Silver Embossing Powder. The heating tool just shines it right up to match the silver color in the new Sparkle and Shine patterned papers! I am really loving the softer look of the Juniper rather than the more traditional green for Christmas papers.
I trimmed the edge of the White Daisy card front with the Scallop Border Punch for a different look. Hope you are inspired to try something new with my card, but now you are off to Tammy's Blog for another amazing paper creation! Have a fantastic time on the hop!
Remember, if you get lost, jut pop on over to the Damask Divas Blog for the entire line-up! :)
Don't forget to pick up the Stamp of the Month, Scandinavian Wishes before October ends! :)
