Last Christmas Card...and FREE Shimmer Trim!

So, I have one last Christmas Card to show you that I created using the Yuletide Carol Paper Packet from Close to My Heart.  I also used the matching Complements for this one...

I matted and cut out the sticker Complements to pop them up with some Thin Adhesive 3D Foam Tape.  It came together so quickly!  About the only thing missing from this card is some SPARKLE!

Need some SPARKLE to start off your year?  I have JUST the right thing!  For every order of $25 on my website or made through me, I am giving away my favorite thing...SHIMMER TRIM!

Why, without Shimmer Trim, you can't do THIS...

or THIS...

or even THIS!

I sure don't want that to happen to YOU!  So get your orders placed before the end of December so I can send you a FREE roll of Shimmer Trim--you can even choose the color!  Don't add it to your shopping cart if you shop at my website HERE: www.mimimyselfandi.ctmh.com.  Just let me know what color you would like after you order, and I will get it to you separately!  :)

You only have TWO MORE DAYS to take advantage of my offer AND to land this cutie-pie Stamp of the Month!

Don't delay!  You might miss the DEAL OF THE DECADE!  :)

Merry, Merry Christmas!

The stockings are filled, the presents are placed, and this momma is headed to bed!  I just HAD to share the ornament I made for my oldest this year.  Each Christmas, the kiddos each receive an ornament that describes them at the current stage in their life.  We have everything over the years from Blue's Clues to Star Wars, Care Bears to Webkinz, and Barbie to Winter the dolphin.  They all change so quickly that it is truly a timeline of their interests displayed all around our tree.  I am happy to have been able to create one this year for a change!  I could not find one to suit my #1's personality, so I made it instead!

If you are in MY age bracket, then you may be entirely clueless as to what this means...and I am here to reassure you that you are just fine, lol.  This is the "logo" for a musical artist named Hoodie Allen that has stolen the heart and voice of my college girl.  She finally got to see him in concert, met him, and "swooned" as he signed her CD this month.  It was only fitting that this be her themed ornament this year.  (I guess I would have had one that had the New Kids on the Block at one time, lol!)

I cannot wait to see her reaction!  I used my fine MS glitter inside the plastic ornament.  Then, after it dried overnight, I simply snipped my self-adhesive Silver and Black Shimmer Trim with the Non-stick Micro-Tip Scissors to form the logo.  Easy as french silk pie!  ;)

May your heart feel the love of Jesus, whose birth we celebrate today and always!  Merry Christmas!!!

Bookmarks for the Kids with My Cricut Explore!

ONE more day until Christmas!  Are you ready?  I am...just about, lol!  I have to tweak one more project for a gift...

Right now I want to show you what I made for my first graders...of COURSE I used my Cricut Explore!

Here it is HARD at work cutting them out...

and here they are all assembled along with all the little "bits" left over...

Can you tell what they are?

Yep!  I made each of the kids a bookmark with their name on it!  There won't be any mix-ups this way, lol.  I made them in the school colors with my Topiary and Honey CS from Close to My Heart and added a little baker's twine tail...easy peasy!  :)  The rectangle shape is from the Cricut Artiste Cartridge and the font is from Learning Curve.

What kinds of gifts have you tried with your Explore?

Tag (You're It!) Tuesday with NEW Close to My Heart Puffies!

I almost made this a Throwback Thursday style post.  Why?  Because as a child of the 80's, these new Puffies from Close to My Heart stir memories of my sticker collection from back in the day.  Come ON, you KNOW you had one too!  Some of my favorites were the puffy stickers...but they didn't have sparkle like THESE!

Junebug Puffies
Inspiration struck quickly for using these cuties on a little gift tag along with the birch tree background in the Season of Thanks My Acrylix...

As you can see, I am still in full-swing Christmas crafting mode.  I thought I would use the gold bird for my project, but I decided on using Kraft CS for the base and soon realized I needed a RED bird to use for my gift tag...UGH!  Actually, not even a problem!  I just grabbed my ShinHan Touch Twin Alcohol Ink Markers and...

Carmine ShinHan Alcohol Ink Marker
How perfect is that!?

I used my circle punches to make a quick snowfriend and added a few Sparkles as some snowfall to complete the scene.

Quick and easy, who could ask for more?  :)

December is quickly coming to a close...but stay tuned to my blog this week for more Christmas crafting and a special treat just for my customers!

Featured on the Close to My Heart Blog!

Oh my word!  I had no idea this was coming today!  I was contacted a few weeks ago about my submission to CTMH Corporate for their "My Favorite Stamp" series.  They wanted to use MY CARD on the blog!!!!  I can't quite put into words how it feels to get that email, but I am absolutely humbled to have my artwork featured alongside so many other talented consultants!

My absolute favorite in the Annual Inspirations Idea Book just happens to be a Christmas themed My Acrylix set called Sing Glory, which appears in the new Annual Inspirations Idea Book as a Hostess Only Reward.  It can be earned for FREE by hosting a Gathering in your home or online, or by joining my Rewards Club.  You can even get it by placing a $150 order with me and choose it as part of your $25 in free CTMH goodies.  It is available to earn through July of 2015, and this is how it appears in the Idea Book...

Guess WHAT?!  You guys have actually seen the card they featured already--in fact, if you came to my Christmas Card workshop, you even made it!  ;)

SO, now you need to visit the Close to My Heart Blog, Make it From Your Heart, to see the other beautiful artwork created with this set!  :)

Thanks so much for liking my card, Close to My Heart!  :)

Make A Wish!

I am toasting the final minutes of having only one teenager in the house as I type this post...oh my word, how did that happen?

My fashionista birthday girl wants a room make-over for her birthday ( I guess rainbows and unicorns are SO 12-years-old), so with this in mind I used the perfect little My Acrylix stamp duo for the sentiment on her card, Wish and Doodled Designs...

I seriously threw this card together in under 20 minutes...a record for me indeed.  I actually had some of the products out already from another creation I have to show you tomorrow.  I used the Confetti Wishes Paper Packet, Thistle, Pixie, and Black Exclusive Inks, NEW White Shimmer Trim (I just heard someone faint...I know how you feel!), Sparkles, and the fantastic NEW Junebug Puffies.

Guess what!  If you ordered each of the products I used to make this card, you would not only be able to get a SWEET deal on the Stamp of the Month for just $5...BUT you would also qualify to purchase size C and D stamps for just $10 each!  That is a $12.95 savings on the SOTM, and another $3.95-$7.95 savings on EACH other My Acrylix you decide to get...as many as you like!  Check it out soon because the Deal of the Decade will be gone with 2014!  You might want to scroll down to see what ELSE you get as well!  ;)

Yuletide Carol from Close to My Heart

I have a bit of Hump-Day cheer for you today, brought to you by the Yuletide Carol Paper Packet from Close to My Heart!  This is a fantastic Christmas themed paper packet with the traditional colors of the season.  One of my favorite papers is the musical note paper shown in the second layout.  I can't wait to scrapbook my Christmas pics this year...

Now, if you would rather create other paper crafts, here is a great little gift bag topper I made back in June that was designed by consultant Pamela O'Connor for Convention...

the sentiment is found on the new Noel My Acrylix Stamp Set...

How is your Christmas crafting coming along?  I just managed to get all the teacher gifts finished over the weekend.  You can see a pic over on my FB Page.  Be sure to follow me over there for some fun throughout the week!

I also finished up the design for a special Cricut Explore project I am making for all the littles in my classroom this year!  I can't wait to show you!  :)
