Alright, I have been wanting to play with these new toys and finally had the chance. I have been trying to distract myself lately because I am waiting for all the new Close to My Heart releases to make it to my door! I am running out of patience! On with the challenge!
The new Designer Challenge over at My Creative Time is a Square Card Challenge. Absolutely time to pull out my new 3x3 Tri-Fold Card Die and make something sparkly! I just so happened to be in need of a special thank you card for a special hostess. I had some remnants from a retired CTMH Lucy Paper Packet that would work beautifully.
This is absolutely my kind of stitching on this little 3x3 card--fake! ;) The die does it all for me. You can see how the card opens below.
This adorable doily die from My Favorite Things IS now one of my favorite things! Isn't it dainty in the White Daisy CS?
If you love Close to My Heart's buttons like I do, you better run, not walk to snatch some up...because they are almost out of stock and history! They will not make an appearance in the next Idea Book. Not these, anyway! ;) BUT, do not fear! The silver shimmer trim is there...along with some new colors!!!
I used the "thank you" sentiment from MCT's I'm Here for You Rain or Shine. Instead of using it in a straight line, though, I split it up to fit this second doily...
I REALLY loved decorating this little card! It is just so dainty and cute! It was just what I needed to pass the time until my new CTMH product comes! Thanks for stopping in, and be sure to check out the Square Card Challenge over at My Creative Time!
Want to see the new Close to My Heart Artbooking Cartridge? You can come see exactly what is on this fantastic new cart available starting August 1st on my blog HERE.
Never let ANYONE dull your sparkle! Self admitted Cricut fanatic and Shimmer Trim addict. ;)

Playing in the Puddles Again
Alrighty, so I wasn't quite finished playing with my new toys...I have one more card to show you made with my MCT dies and stamps and my Later Sk8ter Plaid B&T paper. You can see two other cards I made with these HERE and HERE if you missed my prior posts.
These cards were my inspiration for the following one that I designed.
Can't you just feel the wetness of the rain dripping off the umbrella? I broke up the white space at the top with some clouds. The Lifestyle Crafts Tide Embossing folder was just right for this version of a windy, swirling cloudy sky.
Seriously, folks, when I first laid eyes on this MCT Stitched Umbrella Die, I knew it would be mine! I used Outdoor Denim CS and a plaid B&T Duo from Later Sk8ter to create this one. I added a silver vinyl for the handle that the dies cut like butter. You will be seeing more of this vinyl in the next few days! ;)
This puddle stamp with the raindrops has got to be the cutest thing ever!
I just cannot wait to use these again! :) Thanks for dropping in to see! (See what I did there?) ;)
If you like this paper that I used here, check out the Damask Divas team Blog Hop! Several of us have projects using the papers in this packet! :) Later, Sk8ter!
