Freshly Made Sparkle!

Hey everyone!  I finally got to use it!  I snatched up this great new stamp set from My Favorite Things, because it's all about MY favorite thing--SPARKLE!  I paired it up with the fab new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, and ended up with some serious bling going on.  :)

I used several different products on this card.  From Close to My Heart I used Black and White Daisy CS, Lollydoodle Paper, Black Glitter Paper, Black and Cotton Candy Ink, and the Timberline WOTG My Acrylix set.  I used some silver vinyl from Silhouette for the faux sequins that are so easy to make with the MFT Sequin Dies.

Can you see where I used the Wink of Stella Glitter brush?  It sure makes it easy to leave a little sparkle everywhere you like!  ;)

I have lots more to come from this stamp set, so stay tuned!  :)

Shop 24/7 from home at my website, mimimyselfandi.ctmh.com, for some of the products I used for this card, and this month's specials:

Freshly Made for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I made a special card in honor of a relatively new friend of mine that I happened to meet through my Close to My Heart business.  I am rather pleasantly surprised by all the new friends I have made along my journey so far as a consultant.  I feel so blessed!

This new friend is a former consultant who has just fought the fight of her life against breast cancer, and I am so happy to say that she has beaten it!  There are far too many people I know who have battled and are still fighting this thing including my Aunt.  I unfortunately also know one who was not able to overcome it in this life.

I dedicate this card I made for Freshly Made Sketches 107 to all of the women who bravely do battle.

I used a new die cut and stamps from MFT (clear stamps, so I am linking up with Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge again!), Close to My Heart Chantilly Pattern Paper, Inks, CS, Sparkles Flourishes, and the Cricut Artbooking Cartridge.

Next week I will have a special project related to this for you to see!

Edited!  I just linked up with DL.ART's Linky Pinky Party for the month of October.  Go check out the pink HERE!

Anything Goes Get Well Card with Close to My Heart!

I was so excited to see that it was time for another Anything Goes Peachy Keen Challenge this week, that I could not wait to play along!  I had been wanting to bring back my sweet band-aid on another card idea I had in my head, and this was the perfect time to use my PK face stamps again!

I used a retired Close to My Heart paper packet called Dreamin'.  This packet was around before my time with CTMH, but I fell in love with it when I found it...hmmm, how many papers have I fallen head over heals for now?  ;)

Anyway, I made some more band-aids that I first made in THIS POST, and stamped the cutest little uh-oh! face on it with my PK stamps.   I used a die from MFT to cut this simple sheet of torn out notebook paper.  After I stamped the Get Well Soon sentiment from MCT, I tore the paper in half and skewed it a bit on the front of the card before attaching the band-aid.

I love the super-simple message and how the image reinforces it!  The great colors would be wonderful to use for just about anyone, AND if you didn't want a cute smiley (but why wouldn't you?) it even looks fantastic without it!  :)

Now I have a new idea for a "missing you" card, so I better get busy!  Thanks for popping in and keep the great challenges coming, PKS!  :)

My Creative Time Designer Challenge!

Alright, I have been wanting to play with these new toys and finally had the chance.  I have been trying to distract myself lately because I am waiting for all the new Close to My Heart releases to make it to my door!  I am running out of patience!  On with the challenge!

The new Designer Challenge over at My Creative Time is a Square Card Challenge.  Absolutely time to pull out my new 3x3 Tri-Fold Card Die and make something sparkly!  I just so happened to be in need of a special thank you card for a special hostess.  I had some remnants from a retired CTMH Lucy Paper Packet that would work beautifully.

This is absolutely my kind of stitching on this little 3x3 card--fake!  ;)  The die does it all for me.  You can see how the card opens below.

This adorable doily die from My Favorite Things IS now one of my favorite things!  Isn't it dainty in the White Daisy CS?

If you love Close to My Heart's buttons like I do, you better run, not walk to snatch some up...because they are almost out of stock and history!  They will not make an appearance in the next Idea Book.  Not these, anyway!  ;)  BUT, do not fear!  The silver shimmer trim is there...along with some new colors!!!

I used the "thank you" sentiment from MCT's I'm Here for You Rain or Shine.  Instead of using it in a straight line, though, I split it up to fit this second doily...

I REALLY loved decorating this little card!  It is just so dainty and cute! It was just what I needed to pass the time until my new CTMH product comes!  Thanks for stopping in, and be sure to check out the Square Card Challenge over at My Creative Time!
