Scrappin' on Saturday (I Hope)

Another Saturday has suddenly appeared, and I fully intend to get some scrapbooking finished.  You might have noticed JUST a bit that I haven't posted a single PML or PL layout in a few months.  Ugh, I can't believe I fell off the wagon so quickly!  I am hoping to get all caught up to week...um...let's see...27???  Oh my...

I am glad I have some cards all set to go that I made with my June 2015 Stamp of the Month from Close to My Heart.  I love them for highlighting pictures from a party or just hanging out eating ice cream!

I LOVE the "sweet taste of summer" stamp found on the Ice Cold Summer My Acrylix.

I love the chalkboard look for this fantastic font!  I also tried my hand at a couple of other stamping techniques for these easy pocket cards for the Picture My Life system of pocket scrapbooking also called Project Life.  I used my stamps to create some coordinating pocket cards and rounded the corners with my corner rounder.

This puddle pad technique involves dropping ink on a baby wipe to create a colorful image.  Sometimes you need to add a bit darker colors to your images this way, which you can see in my example below...

In Summerrrrrrrr!

Brrrrrr!  It's officially Summer, and let me tell you, Olaf does NOT need to worry about melting in our current Midwest low temps, lol!  I am SO excited that June is here at last as well...not only is it my birthday month, but I also positively adore the new Close to My Heart JUNE Stamp of the Month, Ice Cream Dream!  Take a look!

I TOLD you it was super cute!  Here is the first card I made with it...

I used the Puddle Pad technique to drop different colors of reinker on a baby wipe.  Then I chose different images to use in the colorful "puddle."  I completely forgot to take a picture of it, but I used Lagoon, Gypsy, Crystal Blue, Glacier, Pear, and Thistle on this portion.  I random stamped the popsicle for the background...

The Sparkles Flourishes from CTMH made a great swirly exhaust!  Did you know you can cut them apart and rearrange the parts however you like?

It was really fun to find the matching colors to use from my ShinHan Alcohol Ink Markers that I used to color the image of the ice cream truck and the sentiment on the inside. I used Leaf Green, Lavender, Turquoise Blue, and Peony Purple...

If you look back, the green pattern paper I used to mat the front images is from the Blossom Paper Packet.  I cannot get enough of that paper!

I cannot WAIT to show you the other projects I made over the weekend with this set!  :)

Born to Ride Again

Hi everyone!  I'm back with more VVVRRROOOOOM!  I know tomorrow is Father's Day, so just in case you need a bit of inspiration for any last minute cards, here you go!  Not that any of you wait until the last minute!  ;)  If you missed my first two cards in this set, you can see them HERE.

Now these are not specific occasion cards, so you can revamp them to fit your situation.  I love to have a few things on hand for just that.  I used my Close to My Heart My Acrylix C1483 Born to Ride for both of the following cards.

These flames were fun to make with a puddle pad of oranges and yellows...and the strip of tire treads is a new washi tape I picked up.  Perfect!

This next card features a new toy of mine from Tim Holtz...the Tiny Attacher.  Even a manly card can have cute staples!  ;)  The Whisper CS is embossed and distressed on the edges with the same color ink.

I think these nailheads were a great touch too...MAN stuff, lol.  Not my usual glitter, but all guy for sure!

Hope you found a bit of masculine inspiration if you needed it!  Man cards are always a bit tricky for me, so I always have my eyes peeled for ideas.  I have two more cards to show you in this collection, but you will have to be patient for a few more days.  Thanks for stopping in!
