More Ice Cream on Monday!

Well, I sure didn't get any more scrapbooking finished this weekend, but that is alright.  I have been doing a HUGE decluttering project around the house, and purging REALLY feels good.  I made lots of progress and even found some of my dining room in the process!  ;)   Be sure to check out my clearance price My Acrylix stamps for sale in my Flee Market, and you can help me clear out some more!

Anyhow, there are just two days left in June, and I am just a bit over $100 shy of my sales goal this month.  I have a GREAT incentive for you to help me reach my goal!  My peeps who live nearby can place an order through me with FREE shipping by adding to the order I am placing on Tuesday.  EVERYBODY can win though, because the order that puts me over my goal will win a FREE My Acrylix stamp set that is worth $17.95!  :)

You just might want to pick up this month's Stamp of the Month because there are only two days left to get it in your crafty little hands.  I made the following card using it...

See the fine line details I added by hand with a black marker?

It was tons of fun to make those colorful Popsicles from Ice Cream Dream with the puddle pad method.  The Lagoon ink and CS goes really well with the Thistle Diagonal Striped Ribbon I used to attach the tagged sentiment.  The Hostess Only Tagged with Love My Acrylix which has several different sentiments that accompany the three tag shapes.  I, of course, used the same images as this example artwork from CTMH, lol!  Oooops!

Since that wasn't exactly enlightening, lol, here is a peek at the rest of the set...

Contact me to set up your own online gathering so you can earn this set for free!  :)

Scrappin' on Saturday (I Hope)

Another Saturday has suddenly appeared, and I fully intend to get some scrapbooking finished.  You might have noticed JUST a bit that I haven't posted a single PML or PL layout in a few months.  Ugh, I can't believe I fell off the wagon so quickly!  I am hoping to get all caught up to week...um...let's see...27???  Oh my...

I am glad I have some cards all set to go that I made with my June 2015 Stamp of the Month from Close to My Heart.  I love them for highlighting pictures from a party or just hanging out eating ice cream!

I LOVE the "sweet taste of summer" stamp found on the Ice Cold Summer My Acrylix.

I love the chalkboard look for this fantastic font!  I also tried my hand at a couple of other stamping techniques for these easy pocket cards for the Picture My Life system of pocket scrapbooking also called Project Life.  I used my stamps to create some coordinating pocket cards and rounded the corners with my corner rounder.

This puddle pad technique involves dropping ink on a baby wipe to create a colorful image.  Sometimes you need to add a bit darker colors to your images this way, which you can see in my example below...

Pass the Ice Cream!

Alright, so it wasn't quite Father's Day yesterday.  BUT, in my defense, I wasn't the only one who planned for it like it was!  ;)  I did feel a bit silly, though.  Can someone pass the ice cream, becaues there isn't anything ice cream can't fix!

Shimmer Trim with a cherry on top!  :)

I used the following Close to My Heart supplies to make this simply fun birthday card:

Stamps:  2015 June Stamp of the Month, Ice Cream Dream and Seaside Greetings
Inks:  Lagoon Exclusive Ink, Lagoon, Smoothie, Gypsy, and Pear Ink Refills
Papers:  Blossom Paper Packet (zip strip), Lagoon CS, White Daisy CS (both included in the Blossom paper packet)
Other:  Dots Embossing Folder, Coral Reef Sequins Asst., White Shimmer Trim, Thin Foam Tape, black fine line marker

Ice Cream Dreaming on Monday!

I had a really quick idea for a card that turned out kind of not so quick, lol.

I used the sentiment in the Close to My Heart June 2015 Stamp of the Month to make this birthday card...

The Puddle Pad technique is such a fun way to add a lot of colors to your stamping.  Just drop your ink colors onto a baby wipe and let them blend together a bit.  Be sure to use dark enough colors to allow the image to be show up well enough.  I had to revise my colors after my first attempt with this one...
See how the pink ink needed to be darker?  Easy peasy to fix though, just add more ink!  :)

The "tablecloth" below my cake is from the Confetti Wishes Paper Packet.  I stamped the twisty candles from the Blossom Workshop on the Go Cardmaking Kit in different colors that I used in my Puddle Pad...Gypsy, Thistle, Pear, and Lagoon.

A little snip on the top corners with my Corner Rounder gives it a "cake" look.

The Purple Shimmer Trim makes a lovely platter, no?

In Summerrrrrrrr!

Brrrrrr!  It's officially Summer, and let me tell you, Olaf does NOT need to worry about melting in our current Midwest low temps, lol!  I am SO excited that June is here at last as well...not only is it my birthday month, but I also positively adore the new Close to My Heart JUNE Stamp of the Month, Ice Cream Dream!  Take a look!

I TOLD you it was super cute!  Here is the first card I made with it...

I used the Puddle Pad technique to drop different colors of reinker on a baby wipe.  Then I chose different images to use in the colorful "puddle."  I completely forgot to take a picture of it, but I used Lagoon, Gypsy, Crystal Blue, Glacier, Pear, and Thistle on this portion.  I random stamped the popsicle for the background...

The Sparkles Flourishes from CTMH made a great swirly exhaust!  Did you know you can cut them apart and rearrange the parts however you like?

It was really fun to find the matching colors to use from my ShinHan Alcohol Ink Markers that I used to color the image of the ice cream truck and the sentiment on the inside. I used Leaf Green, Lavender, Turquoise Blue, and Peony Purple...

If you look back, the green pattern paper I used to mat the front images is from the Blossom Paper Packet.  I cannot get enough of that paper!

I cannot WAIT to show you the other projects I made over the weekend with this set!  :)
