Last Minute Cricut Artiste Christmas Gift Idea

We are in the home stretch!  Are you ready?  If you need a last-minute gift idea, you are in the right place!

I made this simple gift card holder using my Close to My Heart Cricut Artiste cartridge and my Cricut Expression 2 cutting machine.  If you don't have one, you might want to ask Santa!  ;)

I cut it out of White Daisy CS and added a panel of Cranberry to the front, back, and inside.  The mustache cut is also found on this cartridge, so you don't need another one for this project!  :)  The rest of Santa's jolly face is made with bits from the Mini-Medley Ruby and Black collections.

I used is a retired My Acrylix stamp set called Christmas Joy, but any Christmas sentiment will do.

I just love how the scalloped edge mimics Santa's white, puffy trim on his suit!  It is the perfect easy gift card holder for family and friends!

Here is a bonus idea for that Santa Stache from my girlie's class holiday party...the kids LOVED them!

Don't forget in the bustle of the season that time is running out to get your hands on the Stamp of the Month for December!  You can fill your cart with just $50 of products on my website to get it for only $5, too!!!  This one even coordinates with the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Collection!  Check it out HERE.

Chevrons, and Sequins, and Snowmen, OH MY!

Happy World Cardmaking Day!

Today was an absolute blur...so by the time I sat down in my crafty spot, I managed to put together just one card, lol!  To top it off, my photo stream is on the blink again!  I am at a total loss on that one, but until I get it figured out, I will just need cords, sigh.

Alright, on with the CARD!   I combined a couple of challenges for this one, and I think it's pretty cute!

When I saw the sketch for CAS(E) this Sketch this week, I thought I could pull it off nicely with  a snowman, and by flipping it upside down, I did!  :)

Then I saw that the gals over at CAS-ual Fridays wanted to see chevrons and sequins in our creations.  No problem!  I used a Darice embossing folder for the clean white background.  Some miscellaneous sequins sparkle up the fringe of the snowman's sweet scarf, and black sequins from the Close to My Heart Mini Medley Accents Black Collection make his merry buttons.

I used the Close to My Heart Countdown and All Decked Out (retired) My Acrylix clear stamps to make this jolly little man.  The papers are all CTMH as well:  White Daisy, Cranberry, and a great green pattern in the Chantilly Paper Packet!  Bet you never thought the Spring flavors of Chantilly could be used for Christmas!  ;)

Thanks for popping in here today!  Go spread your sparkle!  :)

Close to My Heart Glitter Paper is Just For You!

Hi everyone!  I missed playing along with the Card-A-Day Challenge yesterday, but I had a huge day, so I am giving myself a break.  I'm going to back up a bit and share the card I made for Day #8:  Glitter It Up!  I used all the sparkle I could get my hands on!  ;)

For the glitzy flower, I again used the Just For You My Acrylix Set that I LOVE along with the Black and Grey Glitter Paper!   If you crave the sparkle of glitter without the mess, then this paper is for you!  The sentiment and diamond pattern is from a gorgeous My Acrylix set called Fabulous You.  I stamped in Black Ink on Twilight CS.

Some other bits of bling came from the Base and Bling Black Jewels, Sparkles Flourishes, and Mini Medley Accents Black Collection.

I have been trying extra hard to give some attention to the inside of my cards as well...

Have I ever mentioned that all of the card bases I use come from CTMH too?  Yep!  HERE they are in White on my website in an awesome multipack!  They are pre-scored, and come with envelopes too.  I highly recommend them!

Thanks for stopping in and taking a peek!  I cannot wait to show you a similar card I made that has a different color scheme all together...but you will have to wait until Friday!  Sparkle on!  :)
