Balloon Wishes on Wednesday

Woah.  It's getting super late, so here comes a quick post!

I created this card to cheer up a crafty friend's hubby...

I stamped the beautiful hot air balloon image from Balloon Wishes in Memento Ink and colored it in a rainbow of ShinHan Marker colors...

The clouds are left over cricut cuts from Artiste, and two little Red Enamel Gems set off the sentiment banner...

I found this perfect sentiment on the stamp set that accompanies the new Flower Market Cricut Collection!
I sure hope it made him smile.  :)

Tricks and Treats Blog Hop!

Here is a crafty way to kick off your Halloween celebrations this weekend!  The girls over at Blog Hops with Heart put together some sweet treats for you to browse, so grab your loot bag and start hopping!

This project was a bit over two years in the making...I just never had a chance to see it through until now.  I'm rather glad though since I now have some sparkly white glitter paper and the new Adventure Fundamentals to use...

I used a great 3D box shape from the now retired Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  I used my Cricut Explore machine to create triangular panels for each side, then resized them all to create some different heights.  I loved being able to bling these up a bit with sequins and black shimmer ribbon.

I just LOVE playing with paper and bling!!!!

Thanks so much for popping in today to check out our projects!  Now hop on over to Becca's blog to see what treats she has up her sleeve!

Here's the whole line up for our hop (can you tell I'm watching baseball??? GO CUBS!):

My CTMH Cricut Display Board: Artiste Cartridge

It's been a while since I shared another section of my CTMH Cricut Display Board, so without further adieu, HEEEEEEEEEERE'S ARTISTE!

See all those little 3D objects in the bottom right?  ALL from Artiste!  Even the cute little bow on the card!

You might have noticed that ALL of the Close to My Heart Cricut Collections now come with a combo pack of Cardstock.  I LOVE the change from the chipboard shapes because now you can see how smoothly the CTMH CS cuts...just like buttah!

Artiste was the second cartridge released by Close to My Heart, and they didn't waste any time adding 3D objects to their line-up!  Artiste is filled with gift boxes, rosettes, cupcake liners, and even 3D pop-up cards!  I LOVE the variety of themes available on this one!

Some of my favorite images on Artiste are very simple...a cloud, a thought bubble, a torn sheet of notebook paper.  Artiste even has a simple font that is super-versatile.

I instantly fell for this little guy...it was PERFECT for my kiddo's October birthday party invitations.

Guess what!?  The Stamp of the Month for October, Twinkle, COORDINATES with Artiste!  YEP!  This crazy-adorable stamp set has images that you can cut with Artiste!  :)

Place your order for Artiste through me this month, and I will send you the Stamp of the Month for FREE!   You MUST contact me to place your order to take advantage of this offer, so shoot me a message at mimimyselfandi@outlook.com OR leave a comment with a way to contact you here--I won't publish it, no worries!  :)

Rain or Shine Sympathy Card

It isn't ever easy to make a sympathy card for a friend.  It is always a good idea to have one on hand in case of sudden events, so come to my workshop on Saturday and make this card that is versatile to use for numerous occasions.

I used the rock and roll technique for the sun--did you know it is super easy to stamp in two colors?

The sentiment is from Look to the Light...

I also used Rain or Shine, another My Acrylix that sneaked right by me in the Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book--but will always be available for purchase due to the cricut shapes it can stamp (the cloud is on Artiste!)   :)

Here is another example of using these images on a card...

You can do a lot with this one!

Sneak Peeks for a Special Friend

I am relieved to say that my week is going well after a couple of heart-wrenching days, and my special little friend is doing FANTASTIC!!!  I cannot say enough prayers of thanks and praise!

I am also so excited to be able to share the card I made for this amazing little friend today...because it has a LOT of peeks at new Close to My Heart products coming next month!  :)

This new paper pack is absolutely flavored with the colors of spring.  I absolutely love any green and blue patterns to use for scenic cards.  I used my Fiskars grass border paper punch to make this one and inked it with Pear Exclusive Ink.

These new enamel shapes are SO cute!  Um, and so are the colorful sequins!!!  The balloon strings are a combination of doodles and the March Stamp of the Month, Choose Happy.  :)

Choose Happy

I used the Cricut Artiste Collection to cut the white CS cloud.  Then I stamped these cute little feel better cloud images from the Cuddly Salutations Hostess Reward My Acrylix

LOVE this zip strip from the new paper pack too!  Don't forget to dress up the inside of your cards!  Next week I'll show you how I dressed up the envelope, so be sure to come back!  :)

I Mustache You if You Remember this Throwback Thursday

I am still all about the whole mustache craze...especially at Christmas time!   Remember this super-cute gift card holder?

I used the Cricut Artiste Collection to cut out this amazingly easy to assemble card...AND the mustache!

I couldn't wait to use the mustache again this year, and I found my inspiration on Pinterest again for this adorable gift card holder...and changed it up to use a mustache!

You won't believe how easy this really is to make.  Just cut out a 5 inch square piece of red CS ( I used Close to My Heart Cranberry) and use the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Scoreboard to make the perfect size envelope.  I cut the mustache on White Daisy CS at .75 inches with the Artiste Cartridge on my Cricut Expression.  I used the same machine to cut the white border from Art Philosophy at 1 inch--the perfect length to wrap around the envelope and seal with two glue dots so it slides off easily for the recipient to open!  :)

Santa's eyes and nose are made using the Grey and Black Epoxy Bubbles and the Carmine ShinHan TouchTwin Alcohol Ink Marker.  Perfect!

Place any size order this month on my website, and I will send you one!  :)

Don't forget about these awesome deals in December only...

A Yoda Punch Art Card for the Star Wars Lover in You

I cannot wait to share this latest card creation with you guys!  Are there any Star Wars fans out there?

I made a couple cards for my friend's boys this weekend.  They were having a Star Wars themed party, so I definitely needed to make some Jedi-worthy cards.  After scrolling around Pinterest for a bit, I decided I was not finding any punch-shape characters, so I made my own!  ;)

Don't you love the dimension created by all the folds?  I popped that word bubble cut from Artiste up with foam tape...

I used my CTMH Olive, Colonial White, Black, and Bamboo CS, opaques, silver glitter paper, and red shimmer trim for this one.  The dimensions of the shapes I used to create Yoda are as follows:

3 -- 3/4 inch circles for the feet and hand
2 -- 1 inch circles for the ears
1 -- 1 1/4 inch circle for the head (in the clearance section on my website now!)
1 -- 2 x 2.25 inch rectangle for the robe
1 -- 1 x 1.75/2 inch rectangle for the under robe
1 -- 3/8 inch strip for the belt

It was really simple to fold them all to put Yoda together.  Then I used the retired Card Word Puzzle My Acrylix stamp to create the "Yoda Speak" sentiments on the front and the inside...

Now before all you die-hard Yoda fans set me straight, I KNOW, I KNOW already!!!!  My daughter took one look at my card and declared how ridiculous it was because everyone KNOWS Yoda has a GREEN light saber!  Grrrrrrrr....thank goodness for green glitter paper!  ;)

Now to figure out how to make Darth Vader so I can use the red!  ;)

More Halloween Post It Note Matchbooks

I know!  I told you I had another version of these to show you this week--and here it is!  I even cut the shape from Artiste with my NEW Cricut Explore!  Love this machine, let me tell you.  LOVE these easy matchbooks even more!

If you want to see the sizing for this easy project, see my original post HERE!  :)

Remember this project I showed you last month using the same stamp/shape...

The stamp is found on the Halloween Greetings My Acrylix set, and there are SO many other great images on it...while I'm not a "Halloween" person, I completely adore these stamps.  ;)
