Halloween Goodies with Close to My Heart

If you are still making last minute goodies for your own Halloween parties, here are a couple of ideas from the designers who bring us all those fantastic creations in the Close to My Heart Annual Inspirations Idea Book!

Bag toppers are always a hit to dress up cellophane...

And who can resist these adorable pencil toppers?  These work well in those classrooms that ban candy and food treats.  I am awful fond of their choice of sparkly pencils.  ;)

Here are the CTMH products used in the above projects:

Cricut Artiste Collection
Scaredy Cat Paper Packet and Assortment
Halloween Greetings My Acrylix Stamps
Frightfully Fun My Acrylix Stamps
Trick or Treat Sweets My Acrylix Stamps
ShinHan Touch Twin Alcohol Markers

More Halloween Post It Note Matchbooks

I know!  I told you I had another version of these to show you this week--and here it is!  I even cut the shape from Artiste with my NEW Cricut Explore!  Love this machine, let me tell you.  LOVE these easy matchbooks even more!

If you want to see the sizing for this easy project, see my original post HERE!  :)

Remember this project I showed you last month using the same stamp/shape...

The stamp is found on the Halloween Greetings My Acrylix set, and there are SO many other great images on it...while I'm not a "Halloween" person, I completely adore these stamps.  ;)

BREAKING NEWS!!!  The chevron ribbon is totally gone!  There was such a huge demand for these that there are no more left--BUT NO WORRIES, you will still receive a FREE ribbon or trimming with your $50 order!  :)  If you like a surprise,  now is a great time to see what you will get!  ;)

Post-It Note Matchbook Treats with Halloween Greetings

Happy Columbus Day Even If THAT Didn't Really Happen The Way We Learned It As Kids!  Really, what is there left to say about it?  Debacle.  Seriously, though, I will take it since it means one less day to pry my kids out of bed for school!  ;)  Now, on to the real reason for October...mammograms and Halloween!  ;)

I will let you ponder that one a bit while you check out my latest creation using my fantastic Close to My Heart My Acrylix stamps...this time, I used the adorable Halloween Greetings.

These Matchbook holders are just perfect for the 3x3 Post-It Notes.  I started with a 3 1/8 x 10 1/8 inch piece of CS.  Next, I scored at 3 5/8 and 4 1/8 from one end and at 1 5/8 from the other end using my Close to My Heart Score Board.

Fold all the score lines in the same direction, and staple in about 3/8 of an inch from bottom score.  I will update this post with the sizes when I get down to my craft cave tomorrow...not much time at the moment, so I just want to get this one posted.

I just love that saying!  "If the broom fits...ride it!"

I added an 11.5 inch length of the Black Striped Twill Ribbon and/or Thistle Diagonal Striped Ribbon to cover the mini staples I added at the bottom.  I added a bit of detail to this one with my Scallop Border Punch before stapling.  :)

These will be available for purchase at my upcoming craft show!  :)  I will show you more later this week.  Come back soon!

Be sure to add these both to your order when prompted!  Check it out on my website!

Throwback Thursday Goes to Disney!

Oh my goodness, I just could not help it!  Sorry for the teaser in the title--there is no Mickey in my project!  It really is a throwback to Disneyland though--and the Close to My Heart Convention I attended this June.  We made this absolutely fun little card designed by Brenda Rose that features the Scaredy Cat Paper Packet...

The sentiment is found on the Halloween Greetings My Acrylix stamp set, and coordinates with cuts from the Artiste Cartridge.  I really like the enamel stars she added from the Scaredy Cat Assortment.  It is definitely time to start cracking the whip for those Halloween projects!  Did you hear it is OCTOBER already!  I KNOW!!!!  ;)

Time to plan ahead for Christmas as well (WHAAAAAT!?), so check out the new October Stamp of the Month...
