Fundamental Friday Gift Boxes!

Yep!  I did it again...using those amazing Paper Fundamentals papers is just too easy!  The pop of subtle shine on the embossed side is my absolute favorite look right now.

I used a cut file from My Scrap Chic to make these adorable nail polish boxes for my daughter's birthday present to her BFF...

I used Glacier and Hollyhock CS and Fundamentals Papers for the boxes with Black CS for the lids.  The butterfly image is from the NEW Cricut Artistry Cartridge...

I used the retired Heartstrings Paper Packet for the back layer.

These gorgeous flower layers are cut from the original Close to My Heart Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.  I inked the edges with Hollyhock Exclusive Ink and layered the flower with glue dots...

I again used another pattern from the retired Heartstrings Paper for the flower.
The boxes contain...what else?  Nail polish!  :)

These were a tiny bit tricky to put together, so I would practice first.  SO worth it!  :)

Valentine Mailbox Card from SVGCuts with the Heartstrings Paper Packet

I did it!!!  I actually uploaded an SVG with Cricut Design Space and successfully cut it out using my Cricut Explore.  :)  You have NO idea how excited I was to finally have a chance...or maybe, my crafty friends, you DO!  ;)

It was a super special card that I was sending to my kiddo in college, so I HAD to make this one good.  I am amazed at how easy it was...

After I uploaded all of the images that were included in the file, I just needed to refer to the sizing guide that came with it, resize each of the images, and choose my paper!  I wanted to use the adorable arrows on the B&T in the Heartstrings Paper Packet...

The Cranberry CS shows up a bit orange here, but it isn't...
I accented the patterns with the Lagoon, Whisper, Cranberry, White Daisy, and a light pink CS.  A few Red Enamel Hearts fit nicely to replace some of the paper hearts on the envelopes.  I also dug out some puffy hearts that totally remind me of the stickers I had as a kid in the 80's....oh, um, did I say that?  ;)

Do you recognize that darling White Marquee Enamel Heart?  Retired products are so awesome and so not...

This style card is called a Box Card.  I am totally hooked on them now.  They fold up to fit in an envelope, can you believe it?

This particular one came with the envelope cut in the file I purchased from SVGCuts.  I added a leftover cutout to decorate it...

THIS was SUCH a fun project to make!  I hope it puts a smile on my sweet girl's face!  What are you making for your sweeties?

Damask Divas Valentine's Day Blog Hop!

You are correct!  It is NOT Valentine's Day....YET!  So that means you have plenty of time to soak in some inspiration from our Blog Hop, order up some fantastic products, and get your own projects made in time for February 14th!  :)

This hop is brought to you by the Damask Divas Team led by the amazing Mandy Leahy!  It goes in a big circle, so all you have to do is read each Divas' post, find the name of the next crafty blogger and click on the link to take you there!  If you happen to get lost along the way, just head on over to the Damask Divas Blog for the entire line-up.  No easy button required!  Ready or not, here we go!

My project involved finding a way to send my friends a little gifty that I had made for them at Sticky9.  I wanted to hide the photo magnet in a little pocket card...and wow, did it EVER work out!

I used the fabulous NEW Heartstrings Paper Packet from Close to My Heart, along with Red Shimmer Trim, Red Enamel Hearts, Forever in My Heart My Acrylix, Pixie Extra Thick Twine, Whisper and Cranberry Exclusive Inks, Indian Corn Blue CS, 3-D Foam Tape, Base and Bling Free Thinker Charms, Stitch Guide, Piercing and Embossing Tool, and Scallop Border Punch.  (Pause for a breath, lol.)

Here is how the Cardstock pulls out of the pocket with the magnet inside...

I used our Foam Tape to pop the pocket up just the right amount to fit.  This view shows how you can just tape the messy ends of the twine to the back of the CS after using the Stitch Guide and a needle to thread it through.

Here is another way to make one!

I added some rose images from the Heartstrings Workshop on the GO Cardmaking Kit My Acrylix, along with some Base and Bling to match!  The leafy part of the stamped image is also colored over with the Leaf Green ShinHan Touch Twin Alcohol Marker

I just used my piercing tool to poke a hole in the CS.  Then I used my tiny little pliers for opening and closing the jump ring on the rose.  It was super-easy.  :)

Well, I sure hope you enjoyed my project today!  The amazing Jennifer Dykstra is up next on the hop, so click on over to see what she has to share!  :)

Don't forget to pick up these limited time offers this month as well!

Mojo Monday Heartstrings Love!

I am in LOVE with this paper, I tell you!  AND of course, I still love Mojo Monday Challenges when I get to play along...so is this a great combo or what?  :)

Here is the sketch for Mojo Monday 379 by the talented Julee Tilman...

 Here is my Valentine...

The adorable sentiment and coordinating papers are found in the Heartstrings Paper Packet and Workshop on the Go from Close to My Heart.  I stamped and inked with Whisper Exclusive Ink--a Dye ink that dries quickly and beautifully.

A Red Enamel Heart added JUST the right touch!

This gorgeous ribbon came in my latest Verve order...I could not resist their sale after Christmas, and wow did this color coordinate perfectly with the paper!

Can you see the peeks of Teal and Silver Glitter Paper?  I love that bit of sparkle it adds.

Have you ever played along at Mojo Monday?  Come give it a try!  :)
