This is the perfect example of how long it takes me to get some projects glued down...I cut it out at least two years ago, but finally finished it up at a recent all day scrapbooking event. In case you feel a little behind in your own scrapbooks, this kiddo just turned 13...yeah, lol. My layout has cuts from the Cricut Artbooking Cartridge from Close to My Heart and features some new complement stickers as well as some old pattern fundamentals paper.
My favorite part of the layout is the sunburst background cut. I thought it would be the perfect way to display her birth announcement and pic.
It's never too late to get those baby pictures into an album! ;)
Never let ANYONE dull your sparkle! Self admitted Cricut fanatic and Shimmer Trim addict. ;)

Fabulous Fundamentals Friday!
So you know I can't live without these NEW Fundamentals patterns from Close to My Heart by now...and I just might run out of my first selection of them before long if I keep up this pace!
Here is my latest layout...
I used the Whisper and Champagne patterns in the Paper Fundamentals Basics along with the Pacifica pattern in the Adventure Assortment.
I added assorted sequins from the Gold and Coral Reef Sequin Assortments. Ok, maybe a retired Oceanside sequin or two as well...
I just loved the squared off layout, but I grabbed a cloud border that I had already cut out from the NEW Cricut Artistry Cartridge on my Explore Machine just to experiment with some curves...and oh my word was it the perfect addition!
Have you had a chance to play with the Paper Fundamentals line? See even more fantastic ideas for them over on the Close to My Heart Blog HERE!
Give them a try this month on my website, link up to my FREE Gift with order when you check out, and I will send you some embellishments to go with them! :)

Fundamental Friday Gift Boxes!
Yep! I did it again...using those amazing Paper Fundamentals papers is just too easy! The pop of subtle shine on the embossed side is my absolute favorite look right now.
I used a cut file from My Scrap Chic to make these adorable nail polish boxes for my daughter's birthday present to her BFF...
I used Glacier and Hollyhock CS and Fundamentals Papers for the boxes with Black CS for the lids. The butterfly image is from the NEW Cricut Artistry Cartridge...
These gorgeous flower layers are cut from the original Close to My Heart Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. I inked the edges with Hollyhock Exclusive Ink and layered the flower with glue dots...
The boxes contain...what else? Nail polish! :)
These were a tiny bit tricky to put together, so I would practice first. SO worth it! :)

Happy Birthday, Sister!
My sister turns 40 today so I got her a pair of reading glasses--she's totally going to need them. I am the big sister, so I just KNOW this is a fact, OK. She might be taller than me, but I will ALWAYS be the big sister.
I made her a special card with the retiring Gypsy Heart patterned paper from the Paper Fundamentals Adventure Palette from Close to My Heart. Yep, I realize it isn't Fundamental Friday yet, but I had to get this one in today! ;)
I used a couple of stamp sets for this card: Playful Pups from Mama Elephant, and the Jumping Geometrics Background stamps from Close to My Heart to give the blanket some texture. I do need to learn a bit more coloring technique, but I LOVE coloring!
I used some of my MCT stitched dies to frame out the main part of the card and another from Mama Elephant to cut the edge of the blanket.
Happiest of birthdays to you sis! Cannot wait to celebrate it with you! :)
