Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Do-Over!

Hi everyone!  I am back with another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge--and this time, I made sure to get it in before the deadline!  ;)  This is their 5th sketch, and they are a pretty new challenge blog.  I have grown to really like the sketch challenges.

Here is my card!

This is the sketch...which I squished the long way, lol.

The first thing that popped into my head was a sunset, but I have already done that recently, so I went with the second thing I thought of...a hill.  That led me down the path to this beautiful sentiment and the flowers that I added.  (See what I did there?)  I am really pleased with the direction this went!  :)  Do you recognize the cupcake wrapper from the Cricut Artiste Cartridge?  It isn't JUST for giving your cupcakes a bit of flair!

I was not sure how it would turn out since the markers are generally for coloring, but I used my Whisper Alcohol Ink Marker to draw the stitching and it worked really well.  I can't believe I faux stitched twice in one week!  What is going on here?  ;)

This is my complete creative formulary of available Close to My Heart products that I used:

Cricut Art Philosophy and Artiste Cartridges
White Daisy, Sweet Leaf, and Whisper CS
Cotton Candy, Blush, Buttercup, and Whisper Inks
Whisper Alcohol Ink Marker
B1420 Hello Tweety My Acrylix
D1491 Hooray Bouquet (one of my all-time faves!)
C1538 Girls Rock
Bitty Sparkles

  1. Love your card, great idea with the cupcake wrapper. I really love how so many of CTMH stamps have coordinating cuts from the cricut cartridges too. Thanks for playing along with Atlantic Hearts!

  4. Great take on the sketch. Even though you changed it to fit a vertical format, it is still obvious you used the sketch.

    1. You are making my day sparkle for sure! It was actually pretty funny when I was looking at the grass border cut in the Artist handbook...I kept wondering how to get it to fit the sketch...then I looked again and saw the wrapper! PERFECT! ;)
