Take Two Tuesday! (Why didn't I think of that before?)

Alright, that little project yesterday was fun and fabulous...so I just HAD to make some more!!! Take a peek back if you didn't see it...because then you will know what I put inside these lovelies!

I used another super-fun stamp set along side the CTMH Season of Magic that I started with yesterday.  This one is called Cozy Christmas, and it comes with some steel dies to cut out the little parts of a snowman!  I just love it!

I started off using the snowflake zip strip from the City Sidewalks Paper Packet to trim out the bottom of the gift card holder.  Then I decided to use some washi to mix it up.  I always considered myself a variety girl!  ;)

My scarves are stamped in Lagoon and the tophats are Memento Ink.  I also easily added a bit of Turquoise Blue ShinHan marker to the brim of that magical hat...

This is going to be a GREAT little surprise for my coworkers!  What do you do for your peeps at work for the holidays?  Let me know, I'm always looking for a great idea!  :)

If you thought this idea was grand, you need to scoop these adorable Close to My Heart products up quick--they retire with the end of the Holiday Expressions Idea Book, and when they are gone....they are GONE!  ;)

only in December!

Freshly Made Sneak Peeks

I LOVE, love, love the weeks before a new product release!  :)  Why?  Because I just can't wait to give you all sneak peeks of the new goodies!  Ready?  OK!

I wanted to use the new sketch for Freshly Made Sketches to show off one particular new product, but I ended up going in an entirely different direction and using ANOTHER newbie by the time I was finished...does that ever happen to you?

Thank goodness the fabulous Cindy H. gave us the a-ok to use a size A2 card for this one...the long card would have worked...but it just wasn't moving me.  ;)

The WASHI was totally leading the dance for this project, so I just followed along.  I used Glacier and Smoothie Inks and skinny washi (sneak peek alert!!!)

This gorgeous new My Acrylix Hostess Reward Stamp set was one of the first from Seasonal Expressions 2 that I got inky...it will be available in April!  Speaking of Hostesses, I will be making a special announcement on Wednesday, so be sure to come back here then! Why Wednesday?  You will see!  ;)

The washi wasn't terribly hard to line up, and I just tore it off with my fingers.

Mamma never said the inside sentiment had to be centered!  ;)

These Border Punches are some SUPER tools to have on hand for a quick and easy edge...

I kept this card clean and simple and white, lol.  But I love the lines created by the washi with the stamps.  What do you think?

Be sure to check out the Close to My Heart specials this month below!  :) Otherwise, I will see you back her Wednesday for a HUGE announcement!  Have a sparkly week, my peeps!

Read ALL about it HERE!

Only available in March and just $5 with qualifying purchase!

Anything Goes!

This has been a long week so far, my friends.  First, my anniversary plans were put on indefinite hold by the relentless snow.  Since then, my youngest has been home sick, and I am fighting with all my might to not get what she's got.  Right now, I am listening to the wind howl outside like it was spring or something, so forget about sleep.

I finally did work in a bit of crafty time today, so I played along with the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge to make a little card to cheer my sweetie up.  This week, thank goodness, Anything Goes!

One of my must have Paper Smooches stamp sets is called Slang Gang.  I seriously had to have this one to make cards that the younger generation understands, lol.  Oooops, there I go!  ;)

I wanted to break as far away from the snow and winter themes as I could, so out came the Crystal Clear stamps and matching dies...

My cup O "Sup?" needed ice cubes, but I don't have an app for that...I mean stamp!  All this lingo these days has my brain jumbled!  Well, what is a crafty girl to do?  Well, duh!  Get out the Close to My Heart Shimmer Trim!  I love how it looks as cold, hard ice!

Well, I suppose I digressed back to the cold of winter, so now I needed to summer it up...with this amazing cloud washi!  No clue what brand this is...but I got it at Archiver's before they closed.   This Slate and White twine from the Close to My Heart Baker's Twine Neutral Metallic Assortment has a silver thread in it that is the perfect partner for the glitter cubes.

You know how kids will ask you the same thing over and over again?  Yep--totally took that and ran with it on the inside...she will understand even if I don't, hahaha!

I hope it at least distracts her from feeling crummy right now.  Her favorite color is yellow, so I have that going for me!  Thanks for popping in to see me today, and please come back anytime!  I might be able to make something again soon, lol!  ;)

Tooth Fairy Friend Meets Washi!

Hi everyone!  It has been a crazy pace lately with the launch of Close to My Heart's Autumn/Winter Idea Book along with the amazing new Artbooking Cricut Collection.  I finally grabbed a spare moment to get my new creation listed up in my Etsy shop!  :)

You might have seen my Tooth Fairy Friend that I featured on the Damask Divas May Blog Hop featuring the Claire Paper Packet.  This was a totally blinged up version of my original creation, and I really wanted to tweak it and make it doable for my Etsy shop.  I made a set as a special order, and I believe I have finally found the perfect combination of elements for it!

WARNING!!!  Frank and open talk about the Tooth Fairy to follow, so log out now or quit reading out loud if the little ones are around!

How many of you have forgotten *gasp* to leave money for your child's tooth that he or she left under the pillow?  How many of you remembered, but could not FIND the tooth that had been carefully placed under the pillow?  How many of you could not even GET to the pillow because it was on the top bunk!?  And how many of you reading now have a child that is TERRIFIED of a stranger, even the Tooth Fairy, coming into his or her bedroom at night to retrieve a tooth?  Well, help has finally arrived!  This handy Tooth Fairy Friend can be placed on ANY doorknob for easy access.  If your little Susie cannot sleep because the Tooth Fairy might sneak into her room at night, then by all means hang it on the other end of the house!  The Tooth Fairy Friend makes the tooth for money exchange a whole lot less painful than loosing a tooth!  ;)

This time around, I added some reinforcements to the doorknob hanger so that the paper hanger will last longer.  I also added a customizable name to the front with an adorable tooth decal. I love using the Cricut Craft Room (CCR) to design things!  :)

The five food-grade pouches included can be used over and over as long as you don't put a freshly pulled and washed tooth directly inside!  I would just toss the tooth in a zipper storage bag before adding it to the pouch for the tooth fairy to find.  ;)

I love these adorable stamps and die cut from My Creative Time!  Emma is totally brilliant!  They go absolutely perfectly with the Close to My Heart Washi My Acrylix set to add some great patterns in ANY possible color combo!  Now you can make washi in any color with the stamp of this My Acrylix set!  BUT!  This is a hostess ONLY stamp set that is only available to my hostesses, so if you are interested in this one, contact me today to set up your in home or online Close to My Heart gathering.  Don't wait too long--this one, and all the hostess sets will only be available with the current Idea Book that lasts through January 2014!

If you are not crafty yourself, click HERE to order one from my shop, or contact me directly on my Facebook Page or at mimimyselfandi@outlook.com.  They are customizable in virtually any color combination.  I am working on a blingy girl version of this one as we speak!  ;)

Born to Ride Again

Hi everyone!  I'm back with more VVVRRROOOOOM!  I know tomorrow is Father's Day, so just in case you need a bit of inspiration for any last minute cards, here you go!  Not that any of you wait until the last minute!  ;)  If you missed my first two cards in this set, you can see them HERE.

Now these are not specific occasion cards, so you can revamp them to fit your situation.  I love to have a few things on hand for just that.  I used my Close to My Heart My Acrylix C1483 Born to Ride for both of the following cards.

These flames were fun to make with a puddle pad of oranges and yellows...and the strip of tire treads is a new washi tape I picked up.  Perfect!

This next card features a new toy of mine from Tim Holtz...the Tiny Attacher.  Even a manly card can have cute staples!  ;)  The Whisper CS is embossed and distressed on the edges with the same color ink.

I think these nailheads were a great touch too...MAN stuff, lol.  Not my usual glitter, but all guy for sure!

Hope you found a bit of masculine inspiration if you needed it!  Man cards are always a bit tricky for me, so I always have my eyes peeled for ideas.  I have two more cards to show you in this collection, but you will have to be patient for a few more days.  Thanks for stopping in!
