Hi everyone! I have been having WAYYYY too much fun with this Dream Pop paper! It should really be outlawed at this point...or maybe I should just be banned from spending another $35 to get another pack? NO WAY! Lol...
Anyhow, I am over-the-top about using the Just for You My Acrylix with these papers, and here is my latest version!
I am really loving this grey chevron paper as a background, so I mixed it up with some Gypsy CS for a completely stunning look. The leaves are done in Pear Ink Stamped on Pear CS. Black Shimmer Trim, a black glitter button, and a large Sparkle all add to the elegant feel of the card.
Thanks for coming in to see! I am linking this one up to the H2H May Flowers Challenge. Go check it out! Also, for the first time, I am linking up to Dynamic Duos Challenge Blog for their choose an old combo challenge! I don't have the exact colors, so chose our similar CTMH colors in the bold and sassy shades of these. :)
Don't forget that the Dream Pop paper promotion won't last forever! When the paper is gone, it's gone! If it lasts for the entire month, then the last day to get yours will be May 31st!
Never let ANYONE dull your sparkle! Self admitted Cricut fanatic and Shimmer Trim addict. ;)

Color My Heart Color Dare #23
Time for the first challenge of the new year! And would you believe I didn't add a drop of sparkle??? YIKES! This card is for the Color My Heart Color Dare #23. We were to make a project using the Close to My Heart pastel colors Gypsy and Sky along with any neutrals we would like to add. I added Chocolate and White Daisy to make this card for my friend.
One of the reasons that I adore the color dares, is that it gives me a starting point for a project. Do YOU ever get overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices you have when beginning a card or layout? Having a starting point, like a color scheme, instantly makes the task more manageable. The color dare just happens to be a fun way to have a starting point too!
Another sure fire way to narrow down your options is to choose a single stamp to use as the focal point of your project. Here, I chose to use a stamp from the brilliant Cricut Art Philosophy Collection from Close to My Heart. I was able to cut the coordinating size image that exactly matches the stamp by looking at the size on the clear carrier sheet.
Here is my creative formulary for this card:
White 3 x 7 card base from art supply catalog
Provo Craft Script Embossing Folder
*Cricut Art Philosophy Collection
*White Daisy, Sky, and Gypsy cardstock
*Chocolate, Sky, and Gypsy Exclusive Inks
*Sparkles Red, Pink, and Purple assortment
*Buttons Blue Assortment
*Chocolate Organdy Ribbon (retired)
*White Baker's Twine (single strand tied on button)
*Burlap Ribbon (single strand tied on button)
Time for a Tip!
Here is a little tip for adding ribbon to the front of a card. The organdy ribbon that I used here is simply cut to length and taped to the back of the Sky cardstock--there is no need to use the amount of ribbon you would need to tie it around the entire length. I made the bow separately with my Bow Easy and then attached it with the strand of twine that runs through the button. A nice big glue dot placed strategically underneath keeps it all in place on the Sky cardstock. Here is a picture of what is under the bow...
I just used a little bit of string to gather the ribbon so that it appears to be one length of ribbon with the bow tied the the intersection. This is just easier for me to get a beautiful bow and turn it the way I like while conserving my supplies. :)
Thanks for stopping in, now get out there and sparkle!

Me again!
I really do need to start taking notes on what I was going to post because when I get here, I freeze! Ah, well! Here are four different cards that I have made lately...this first is my first creation on the Imagine I got from Santa, aka, my mother-in-law! :) She is sooooo generous to me! The card was for her too, lol! Imagine More Cards was the cartridge...
This next card was for a Cricut Circle challenge before I started my blog. LOVED how this turned out with all the textures. Used Art Nouveau, Sophie, Mickey and Friends, and one other...hmmmm...I also used an embossing folder for the bottom trim and for the orange leaf.
This is my latest entry as soon as I post it for the Weekly Circle Challenge. We needed to use kraft paper, our cuttlebug folders, and string to make a get well card. This might be my favorite of them all. I designed it on my Gypsy with the Gypsy Font and Mother's Day Bouquet Carts. Flower cuts were: <Fun2> @ 1.5, <Scallop2> @ 1.25, and <daisy2> @ 1.25. The beautiful white flower is from the last CTMH catalog. I used a blue paper from the Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection and papers from my scraps.
This is a dear card to me because it is for my friend whose cousin passed away last week. They were blessed to have more of a brother/sister relationship, so she is really hurting right now. She lives in another state, so I needed to send her a hug. I cut the large flower out of a paper scrap. Then I used my Gypsy to design the other flowers and leaves using the Flower Shoppe and Mother's Day Bouquet Carts. The sentiment, 'hugs' was welded with the Gypsy with the parentheses being from the gypsy font as well as the letters.
All of these were created with my stash! Happy stash crafting!
