Welcome to another color dare! This week, I was super-excited to get designing, because I love these colors sooooo much. Blue and purple hues are some of my all-time faves! The Close to My Heart colors to use for this Color Dare are Gypsy, Sky, and Outdoor Denim. I heard clapping! :)
Here is the adorable set of 3 x 3 Punny cards that I made with these colors along with the neutrals black, white, slate, and shimmer. That IS a color, right? ;)
Edited to add...I am linking these cards up to the My Creative Time's 3x3 Card Challenge.
I have had this adorable little stamp set since January, but no time to play. I love the trendy feel they give. Chevrons, washi, arrows, and polaroids are all pretty hot trends right now, so I wanted to use them somehow.
Love these single chevrons from C1534 Sightseer. :) I popped them up with some foam tape.
The Polaroid trend is super-hot right now, not to mention adorable!
What are you waiting for? Why not give this amazing color combination a try! Link up to the Color My Heart Color Dare today to share your creation made with Gypsy, Sky, and Outdoor Denim (or similar colors.) You could be the next Color Dare Diamond badge winner! :) See the link for the complete rules. I am also linking this up to Heart 2 Heart's Pun Fun challenge.
This cute little My Acrylix set is unfortunately not for sale in out Idea Book, BUT you CAN receive this little set from me when you host a gathering either at your house or online! Contact me today to set yours up! :)
Never let ANYONE dull your sparkle! Self admitted Cricut fanatic and Shimmer Trim addict. ;)

More Card Creations with Black Tulle
I recently posted about my Five Fave Close to My Heart Embellishments, and Black Tulle Ribbon was number four. If you missed it, HERE is my original post. As I was typing up that post and looking for pics, I realized that I had made several cards a while ago with it that I simply had not had a chance to post! Here they are at long last!
I have really been wanting to play more with our gorgeous Monogram Stamps. Here is one of the first cards I made with it. The Black Tulle is wrapped around the card and gathered underneath the Monogram with a short piece of floss. The cuts on all my cards were all made by my Cricut E2 with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. I apologize, but I did not take note of them at the time.
I used the medallion stamp in B1400 Beautiful Friendship for this one on the right. Then I colored it in with my new Alcohol Ink Markers Hollyhock, Smoothie, and Creme Brulee. The center is accented with a Sparkle, of course! :)
For the following card, I used the negative cut of the first card! I do my best not to waste any Cricut cuts, that is for sure! :)
Finally, I pulled out the fabulous D1525 Casual Expressions. I love the elegant feel of this one.
I hope my cards have given you some useful inspiration for using the Close to My Heart Black Tulle Ribbon! Happy crafting! :)

Pun FUN again!
I really love these cards I made a while ago as part of a set using the Pun Fun My Acrylix Stamp Set. I am entering them into Heart 2 Heart's Pun Fun challenge this month. :) I used last year's amazing National Scrapbooking Month paper promo, Dotty for You.
Here is a pic of the complete set...
I will be adding this set of cards to my Etsy shop soon! Not much there at the moment, but my baby frames are selling like hotcakes! ;)

Color Dare #38 Again!
I could not help myself. I wanted to try out this fabulous idea on a card using our textile fabric, so I made another one according to this week's Color Dare over at Color My Heart. Well, I kind of used a couple of extra colors, and that is why this one isn't in the original Color Dare post for my design team duties. I am totally a purist when it comes to challenge rules, lol! ;)
D1547 Paper Doll is a gorgeously fun little set. I fell in love with it from day one of the new Idea Book. I desperately wanted to find a way to use the Chantilly Textiles on the doll, but unfortunately, I don't sew a lick. Thank goodness for sticky adhesives! I used some super-tacky tape under the waist of the skirt and did a small fold-over pleat across the top. Then I just covered it up with some shimmer trim! I added just a bit of liquid glass to each end of the waist. I folded the length of the skirt up and under and used the same adhesive to hold it together and make it poof. It was a really fun experiment--and it as far as I am concerned, it worked!
Now, those adorable blooms in the upper right are from my "leftovers" drawer yet again! They were cut out from my cricut, of course and stamped in Buttercup and Twilight using C1538 Girls Rock. I added the green Sparkles for a bit of bling!
I do wish she weren't quite so pale, but I don't have any suitable markers or papers to give her any proper color. I also learned that I would mask over her little mouth next time to keep her from sporting the "goth" black lipstick, lol! ;)
Have you had a chance to play with the new textile fabrics yet? What have you tried? :)
There is still plenty of time to enter the Color Dare Challenge this week--Use your Twilight, Pear, and Buttercup colored Close to My Heart products (or similar) to make a project, post it up on your blog, and link up to us by Thursday the 18th at 9 pm CST. Can't wait to see what you make! :)

Five Faves #1: Shimmer and Shine!
Are you surprised? Have you read the subtitle of my blog? ;)
No drum roll, needed, I assure you as I announce my favorite Close to My Heart Embellishment...
I had been wanting to use my 2013 April Stamp of the Month, My Sunshine. Nothing would stop me, and nothing did! My inspiration for this card is undoubtedly the many sunsets I watched from the beach house on spring break what seems like weeks ago. I think the black shimmer trim and sentiment are a fabulous contrast to the colors in the card.

Shimmer Trim!!!
I am telling you that this stuff is the best thing since frosting in a tub!!! All the shimmer and shine of glitter, but none of the mess! I can't think of a better 200th post than one dedicated to my favorite product of all time! :)
My Color Dare project for this week shockingly sports some Black Shimmer Trim. As usual, it just can't seem to stay on its roll in my craft room...just keeps jumping onto my projects left and right. ;) Our color scheme this week is to use the Close to My Heart Colors Twilight, Pear, and Buttercup. These colors are all in the Chantilly Paper Packet, but shockingly, I ignored her this time. I went for my solid cardstock instead because I had a plan!
