My FAVORITE retiring stamp is Be Still.  I have used it in so many cards for my friends.  Here are a few that I have made over the past couple of years and also some projects made with some of the other retiring stamps ( I put an asterisk next to the names of the sets with pics below)...

If you have your eye on any of these stamps, be sure to pick them up before January is over, along with the following specials!!!

Color Dare #38 Again!

I could not help myself.  I wanted to try out this fabulous idea on a card using our textile fabric, so I made another one according to this week's Color Dare over at Color My Heart.  Well, I kind of used a couple of extra colors, and that is why this one isn't in the original Color Dare post for my design team duties.  I am totally a purist when it comes to challenge rules, lol!  ;)

D1547 Paper Doll is a gorgeously fun little set.   I fell in love with it from day one of the new Idea Book.  I desperately wanted to find a way to use the Chantilly Textiles on the doll, but unfortunately, I don't sew a lick.  Thank goodness for sticky adhesives!  I used some super-tacky tape under the waist of the skirt and did a small fold-over pleat across the top.  Then I just covered it up with some shimmer trim!  I added just a bit of liquid glass to each end of the waist.  I folded the length of the skirt up and under and used the same adhesive to hold it together and make it poof.  It was a really fun experiment--and it as far as I am concerned, it worked!

Now, those adorable blooms in the upper right are from my "leftovers" drawer yet again!  They were cut out from my cricut, of course and stamped in Buttercup and Twilight using C1538 Girls Rock.  I added the green Sparkles for a bit of bling!

I do wish she weren't quite so pale, but I don't have any suitable markers or papers to give her any proper color.   I also learned that I would mask over her little mouth next time to keep her from sporting the "goth" black lipstick, lol!  ;)

Have you had a chance to play with the new textile fabrics yet?  What have you tried?  :)

There is still plenty of time to enter the Color Dare Challenge this week--Use your Twilight, Pear, and Buttercup colored Close to My Heart products (or similar) to make a project, post it up on your blog, and link up to us by Thursday the 18th at 9 pm CST.  Can't wait to see what you make!  :)
