Miss Emma is having a photo/color challenge this week, so I grabbed something old, SOMETHING NEW, something mine, and something blue! ;) Here is the challenge photo...
Now, here is my beachy card!
It was really easy to pick out the colors to use from my Close to My Heart CS and Ink. I used Outdoor Denim, Crystal Blue, Sunset, Topiary, and Desert Sand. Maybe they should just call it BEACH sand! ;) The two patterns you see in the beach umbrella are from the Sarita Paper Packet (orange) that will soon retire, and the NEW Wanderful Paper Packet (blue dots) coming in August with the Annual Inspirations Idea Book! I cannot remember for the life of me which member of the MCT DT used this darling umbrella die on the beach...
Anyhow I got a tad bit clever and used the MCT word bubble border for the water/shark fin behind the sand...
I stamped the background cartoon clouds in Crystal Blue Ink as a second generation image after stamping the color off one time first. LOVE the shabby/muted look.
The sendiment...um, my mind is on the sand, apparently...I mean SENTIMENT is from a new stamp set from MCT...I thought it was appropriate! :)
Now, I am thinking I might ink up the entire edge of the card with Desert Sand...hmmmm...decisions, decisions! What would YOU do? :)
