Throwback Thursday: Meet Me in St. Louie

I am absolutely stunned that it has been almost a year since I traveled to St. Louis for the Close to My Heart Regional Celebration.  The memories are still so fresh, and it really hammered home how amazing it is to represent this fantastic company.  Maybe it is because of all the fabulous new friendships I made during the trip?  :)  What better way to celebrate, than to finally finish one of the projects we got to take part in?  Sure wish I had planned it that way!  ;)

Remember that I promised to show you some cards that mix and match patterns from different paper packets?  Cards 2 and 4 below do just that!  Here are the four cards that feature the retired Close to My Heart papers from Avonlea, Flirty, Dakota, and Scholastic.  They all use images from the Casual Expressions My Acylix and the wonderful Burlap Ribbon.

A Simple Thank You Card with Laughing Lola

Hi everyone!  Here is one of the cards that we made last night at my workshop.  I created it on Day 4 of my upline's Card-A-Day Challenge this month for Stamptember--National Stamping Month!  It is a simple thank you card that I designed using pattern 19 from Volume 2 of the awesome Make It From Your Heart series inspired by Jeanette Lynton.

I used the Laughing Lola paper along with White Daisy, Slate, Black, and Pear CS.  The card base is from one of Close to My Heart's awesome value packs.  See that adorable little scallop edge at the bottom?  I made it with out brand new Scallop Border Punch!  So cute and easy.

I stamped the Thanks sentiment in Gypsy Ink with the Casual Expressions My Acrylix.  The little banner behind it is from the Laughing Lola Workshop on the Go Cardmaking Kit and it is stamped in Crystal Blue Ink.  The strip of Black Shimmer Trim is the perfect accent.

Happy Birthday Card with Casual Expressions My Acrylix

Happy Monday!  I'm starting this Monday out with a birthday card to ease the transition into the week.  I made this one for day 7 of my upline's Card-A-Day Challenge this month!  It is also one of the cards you will get to make in my Creative Cards Workshop this month!  Here it is...

I used the retired Dakota paper and Outdoor Denim Cardstock and Ink, along with the Casual Expressions My Acrylix Stamp Set.  This set has sentiments for all occasions...check it out!  I added some Durables Artisan Studs to make it even more studly, lol. 

I didn't stop there, though--I made another version for the feminine side!  On this one I used the Laughing Lola zip strip with Dakota and Crystal Blue CS. 

A clear sparkle and a little purple embellishment from the Laughing Lola Workshop on the GO Cardmaking Kit blinged it up nicely.
