Welcome to the very first blog hop from the Blog Hops with Heart Team!  Today we wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving doing whatever you do with the ones you love.

I am so thankful to be hopping today with these FABULOUS ladies!  You are all in for quite a treat, so follow the links from one blog to the next (it runs in a circle, so it doesn't matter where you jumped in to join us.)   ENJOY!

My creation is a little peek at a bigger project that I have been working on for a few months.  I am personalizing a retired perpetual calendar that Close to My Heart used to carry.  The gift was "due" to the birthday girl in July...but thank goodness the recipient knows me VERY well and is willing to overlook the slight delay!  (Thanks, sis!)  ;)

This calendar is something that I wish we carried in our catalog ALL the time!  I think it makes a wonderful gift.

The Sangria Collection from Close to My Heart was the perfect choice to brighten the month of November.  Every one of the papers I used is included in the Paper Packet, including that bottom strip that is actually a Zip strip on the papers.  The autumn hues worked so well with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves dies!  I have linked up with the In with the Old Challenge over at Lawnscaping Challenges since I had to dust those babies off to use them!

In order to add a bit of shine to the month, I also used a strip of Gold Glitter Paper and one of the clear overlays in the Picture My Life Gold and Silver Kit.

The beautiful script sentiment is stamped in Cocoa Ink and found on the Always Grateful My Acrylix.

Finally, I added a few embellies from the Sangria Assortment and Gold Bling Gems.

Back to Bible Journaling for Makeover Monday

For today's Makeover Monday segment, I made-over my Close to My Heart Medium Organizer in order to store my Bible Journaling supplies.  I cannot even believe this little box is so versatile!

Here is is all closed up and ready to go to any table in the house...because, let's face it...my craft desk is pretty crammed with projects most days, lol!

 When you open it up, you just can't help but take in all the COLORS!  Water colors, highlighters, gelatos, sparkle crayons--they are all so appealing to the eye.

 I removed a few dividers to make room for the bible and larger boxed supplies on this side...

But I kept the dividers in place to neatly arrange the smaller supplies on the other side...

I love how it all came together...and I even rearranged these since I took the pics to add my rolls of washi!  Can't wait to share more on this adventure later!  :)

Close to My Heart Focus on Fundamentals: A Closer Look

Did I ever tell you how much I ADORE the new Close to My Heart Paper Fundamentals line of coordinating products???  Oh, yeah, I sure DID!!!

It is Fundamental Friday on my blog today, so I wanted to share my latest layout...

I really love to use the Fundamentals Papers as backgrounds for my layouts...

You can't see it terribly well in the pic, but the title starts with the word, LIFE on the left of the pic...

I used a variety of letters from the Fundamentals Stickers...AND this super-cute sparkly heart from the Purple Enamel and Glitter Duos.

These stickers are absolutely the BEST thing!

Close to My Heart Hexagonal Patterns Christmas Card

I have said it before, and I'll say it again...I LOVE it when a plan comes together!!!

I wanted to use the Hexagonal Patterns My Acrylix stamp set from Close to My Heart to create a whimsical Christmas Card.  The images are compatible with the Cricut Artistry Collection available both with a cartridge to use in your older Cricut machines AND in digital form without a cartridge for use online in Cricut Craft Room or Cricut Design Space.

I also wanted to use an UNtraditional color scheme, so I added some pretty blue-green hues (Lagoon, Glacier, Juniper) to the traditional reds (Poppy, Cranberry) and greens (New England Ivy, Pear, Topiary, Sweet Leaf)...

The sentiment on the front is from the adorable Reindeer Bells My Acrylix...

These trees are cut on my Explore using an image from the Cricut Art Philosophy colletion.

The inside hexagonal sentiment carries my theme over to the inside nicely...and is found on the Holly Jolly Christmas My Acrylix. 

That Green Shimmer Trim catches so many sparkly colors when it shines!  :)

Now, I'm not leaving today without a tip for you!  See those little square foams that come with each Close to My Heart My Acrylix stamp set?  They are included in the packaging for a reason...to stamp clearer images!  Place it beneath your paper, and you will see the difference in your stamping of the more solid images...

I saved this particular card for today, because it is a total throwback to THIS hexagon-themed Christmas Card I made a while back!  Do you remember?  :)

Close to My Heart Urban Paper Packet Scrapbook Layout

GREAT news!  My computer woes are over for now...lol.

Now, back to my blog!

First up is a layout using the Close to My Heart Urban Paper Packet.

I loved playing with the orientation of these pics!  The grungy, texture-rich feel of the Urban Paper Packet was perfect with these outdoor adventure photos.  I love all the great phrases in the zip strip.  I used the Ink Blot My Acrylix stamp along with some Gold Sequins to add some other bits of texture...

Also splattered around the page are some of the versatile Fundamentals Stickers.  I find myself reaching for these as accents to my pages ALL THE TIME!

Close to My Heart Everything Christmas Workshop Cards!

Welcome back for another little peek at my workshop coming up Saturday!

Here is the third Christmas Card we will be creating...

I adore the Christmas songs I grew up singing every year, and this is probably one of the most popular.  You will have two sentiments to choose from found on the Christ Is Born My Acrylix, so plan ahead! 

I used the beautiful pattern paper from the White Pines Paper Packet, added a strip of Green Glitter Paper, and this card was ready for Christmas!

November's Stamp of the Month is ready for the New Year!

Everything Christmas Workshop Cards!

I am posting these lickidy-split since I have to AGAIN leave my computer to the experts tomorrow in order to have all my old pics and cut files and such put back on the NEW one...did you notice the new temporary watermark on all my pics lately?  One of the casualties of the computer crash, lol...so here we go with the next card for my Everything Christmas Workshop on Saturday!

Oh.  My.  Word.  I saw this in my heart and I HAD to make it!  I adore the house images on the NEW Cricut Artistry Cartridge!  I combined my altered image here with the NEW Confetti Embossing Folder to create a little snowy scene begging for a Christmas sentiment!

I used the "Merry Christmas" from Holly Jolly Christmas along with the inside sentiment from the same My Acrylix stamp set from Close to My Heart.

I cannot wait to make this one with you on Saturday!  :)  I will show you another one tomorrow, so see you here again soon!

Tag (You're It!) Tuesday Makes Everything Christmas!

I am in for a quick post today, and SOOOOO glad to report that technology and I have kissed and made up!  ;)

Have a closer look at this one...I used the retired green glitter paper (only available until they run out!) on the tree tag image from the Cricut Artistry Cartridge!  Is that a sparkly tree, or what!?

Freshly Made Christmas Star

I am going to make this one short but sweet because technology is not my friend today...nor has it been the entire month actually.

Here is the lovely sketch up this week at Freshly Made Sketches...

The problem was, I wasn't really in a flowery stamp mood...but I DID have an amazing new Close to My Heart Cricut compatible Christmas Star lying just within reach...as well as some Princess Gold Ranger Embossing Powder!

I cut the star from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge on my Explore.

I am absolutely thrilled with how the stars turned out on the black cardstock using the Charming Cascades background stamp.

 

The banner image I used is found on this month's CTMH Stamp of the Month HERE.  I was able to scour my Christmas stamps to find the perfect words to stamp inside it.
