Happy New Year!

I just HAD to pop on here to close out the year.  Also, I need to share that my gift bags with the ornament tags are the project of the day on the Cricut Circle Blog!  I am so giddy right now, even if it isn't that big of a deal, lol!  What a way to end the year!  The word of the day is giddy--because I am!   The next bags I have to make are for my girlies' school Valentine's Day parties.  I cannot wait to get started.  I even already bought the stuff at Michael's yesterday.  I just LOVE the combination of pinks and reds with brown and white, so we will see what I can come up with...

I wish each of you God's richest blessing in the year to come.  Hope to see you around here too!   Happy scrappin' in 2012!

*EDIT*   I logged on this morning(1/1/12), and it was still up so I pinched myself and took some pics!  ;)

On a side note, my little green guy needs a name...any suggestions?

Another Wrap!

Happy days after Christmas to you and yours!  I have been busy still with wrapping for two more get-togethers, so not quite finished and I am secretly glad. ;)  Here are some gift tags that I decorated with my Cricut Imagine that my MIL got me for Christmas this year.  Side note:  I LOVE MY IMAGINE!!!!  It is amazing!  The word of the day is Imagine! *stares off into the distance and sighs*
I used images and prints from the Snow Angel Cartridge.  I love the colors on this one.
After I finished the flowers, I realized they were not quite done...
So...WALLA!  I added some dimension and bling.
This flower center is cut from the Flower Shoppe Cartridge.  It was left over from another project.  Did I ever mention my little habit of keeping all my scraps?  So now you know why!
I cannot wait to get together with my friends for our celebration this year!

Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge Entry--Ornament with Glitter

Four more days, my friends!  I am happily getting ready for Christmas and just about finished.  Except for the wrapping, lol.  That is the one part I always dread.  Did I get the same amount of gifts for each child?  What did I do with that one present?  How did I end up with three of these???  Yep--those and other questions always develop at some point during the "Wrapping Procedure."  Let's just say the word of the day is "wrapping."  Cool.  Now let's move on.  ;)

So, I finally finished my ornament for the Circle weekly challenge.  I used three different snowflakes from the Winter Lace Cartridge.  I kind of made this one up as I went along, but I really do like it!  I like my glitter in moderation, lol, so used my stickles to add bits of glitter and even cut a glitter paper for the first time in my E2!  Worked well--except for the wonky circles of course.  The top snowflake is two tone light blue, the middle is white, and the lower one is on a silver metallic paper that I love.  I used glue dots to hold the papers together on the top snowflake for strength.  I used my trusty Liquid Glass from CTMH to keep the other two together as they are 3D cuts.  Also used that to run the thread down the sides to connect them all!  Love that stuff!  I hope you like it!
Here are the close-ups of each snowflake:

Tomorrow is my Second Munchkin's 10th birthday.  She is such a huge blessing to our family and is a lover of everyone.  Smooches to you P!  Keep on shining your light!

Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge Entry--Gift Wrapping!

Two days in a row!  I better pace myself here, lol.  I finally made some good progress on the goodie bags for RJ's class.  This has been a really fun project--and it is for CHRISTmas, so I cannot help but get excited.  The word of the day is CHRISTmas.  That's right, I said it--because that is what it is.  Get it straight, people!

Now, back to the entry *puts soapbox in corner for later.*  Here it is:
 Three down, 9 to go!
Here is a close-up of the tags.  I used the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Cart for the snowflake cut at 2.75 and the George and Basic Shapes cart for the green circle cut at the same size.  Not too wonky considering it was on my E2.  I also used the Cuttlebug Snowflake folder on the white paper after I cut them out.  The scallopy edge on the bag topper is from my fabulous new Paper Trimmings cart!  Gotta love the Circle.  The other ornaments and stocking are from the Close to My Heart cart that I am getting for CHRISTmas.  Yes, you read that right.  I took the cart out before I wrapped it--no one will know!  Don't judge.  ;)
Here is a fun little shot of my workspace during this busy season.  Now, where did my chocolate go?

Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge Entry

OK, so here we go with trying to post a picture, lol.  Let's see if this works...

Wow!  I think it might be good to go!  Anyway...my neighbor's mom passed away after a 10 year battle with breast cancer.  I made this card for her for my entry.  Really do wish I had another reason to make a project.  The word of the day is cancer.  It sucks.  It sucks for everyone.  :(
